Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a graduating high school senior or undergraduate student at the time of application.
  2. This award is for U.S. students.
  3. Must have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  4. Must have attended a high school in Olathe, Gardner, or Spring Hill Kansas.
  5. Must enroll full time in an undergraduate or vocational program of study.

Description: The Morning Grange #227 Scholarship Fund is available for students who have attended high school in Olathe, Gardner, or Spring Hill, Kansas, and students who are members or relatives of members in Morning Grange #227.

Additional Information: This scholarship fund was established by Morning Grange #227 to support the educational achievements of students who attend or attended high schools in the Olathe, Gardner, and Spring Hill areas, or members of Morning Grange #227 and their relatives. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, satisfactory academic standing, and a commitment to higher education. These factors, as well as personal statements and essays submitted during the application process will be used to determine the most deserving and qualified student for the award. Awards are provided through the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, a local charity founded in 1978 with the goal of improving the Kansas City metropolitan area. Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable. Awards will be paid in two equal installments of $500 each.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
