Number of Awards & Eligibility: Awards vary annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be 18 years old at time of application
  2. Citizen or permanent resident of Australia, India, Japan or the U.S.
  3. If applicants are currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program, they may apply if they will be enrolled in a qualified academic program during their time as a Fellow.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: The Quad Fellowship was established in September 2021 by Australia, India, Japan and the United States to strengthen ties among the next generation of scientists and technologists. The Fellowship will sponsor 100 American, Japanese, Australian, and Indian master’s and doctoral students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to study in the United States. Schmidt Futures will administer the fellowship with the help of a non-governmental task-force composed of academic, foreign policy and private sector leaders from each Quad country.

Award Amount: Chosen applicants will receive up to a $50,000 scholarship.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $50,000.
