Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. female undergraduate students who are majoring in aeronautical/aerospace engineering or chemical engineering. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and be members of SWE.

Application requirements for the Roberta Banaszak Gleiter – Engineering Endeavour Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Acceptance letter (if req.)
  • Resume
Additional Information: Applications who are members of underrepresented groups, are re-entry/non-traditional students, and/or demonstrate financial need will be given preference. Availability of the award is dependent upon renewals. Applicants may not be current recipients of a renewable SWE scholarship or receiving full funding for education from another organization (such as members of the armed services attending US military academies and students receiving full reimbursement from an employer). The applicant must enroll or plan to enroll in a program accredited by ABET. Accreditation status for degree programs at specific schools can be found at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $1,500 annually, renewable within scholarship guidelines.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.
