Number of Awards & Eligibility: Two awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a college sophomore. The student must be in a position to accept the scholarship for the school year in which it is being awarded.
  4. Must be a female.
  5. Must be enrolled full time.
  6. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  7. Must major in civil engineering, construction management engineering, or mechanical engineering.
  8. Must be a member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is for female U.S. college sophomores who are SWE members and majoring in civil engineering, construction management engineering, and mechanical engineering. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Turner Construction Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Resume
  • Recommendation letters (2)
Additional Information: Applicants may not be current recipients of a renewable SWE scholarship or receiving full funding for education from another organization (such as members of the armed services attending US military academies and students receiving full reimbursement from an employer.) The applicant must enroll or plan to enroll in an engineering program accredited by ABET. Accreditation status for degree programs at specific schools can be found at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
