Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be pursuing a career in welding.
  4. Must be a high school graduate or older to apply for this undergraduate award.
  5. Must be 18 years of age or older at time of application.
  6. Must have an overall grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
  7. Must enroll full or part time.
  8. Priority will be given to those individuals residing or attending school in the states of Florida, Michigan and Ohio. (A resident is defined as having lived in the specific area for a minimum of one year.)

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. undergraduate students who are 18 years of age or older and are pursuing a career in welding. Additional Information: The applicant must be attending a four-year college or university to qualify for any of the AWS scholarships. Proof of financial need is required to qualify for this award. Please note: The applicant does not have to be a member of the American Welding Society, but it is preferred.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable; however, persons who have received this award may reapply and may be granted the award for a maximum of four years.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
