Number of Awards & Eligibility: Five awards offered annually
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be a resident of Illinois.
  4. Must be a high school senior.
  5. Must have taken the ACT and/or SAT.
  6. Must participate in a Junior ROTC program.

Description: This scholarship is open to Illinois high school seniors who participate in a Junior ROTC program. Students must have taken the ACT and/or SAT.

Application requirements for the Illinois AMVETS Junior ROTC Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • Grading explanation
  • ACT/SAT scores
  • Proof of eligibility
Additional Information: Each student must sign the application certifying that he/she is in need of scholarship aid.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
