In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be the daughter, granddaughter, stepdaughter or adopted daughter of a career commissioned or warrant officer in the United States Army who is on active duty, retired after at least 20 years active duty service, was medically retired from active duty or died while on active duty.
  2. Must be High school senior and college applicants must have achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in academic work completed to date.
  3. Must be planning to attend or are currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution in a degree program for the subsequent academic year.

Additional Information: DUSA, or Army Daughters is a nonprofit. Their mission is to promote friendship and support among daughters and granddaughters of Army Officers. Each year, they raise funds for scholarships. The Society makes one year, renewable awards, in the amount of $1,500. The number of scholarships awarded each year may vary based upon the number of eligible applicants and the amount of scholarship funds available. The scholarship is a merit scholarship. Scholarship awards are based upon consideration of applicants’ academic achievement, community involvement and/or leadership potential. Financial need is not considered. The scholarship award must be used in the academic year in which it is awarded. Scholarship funds must go to pay tuition, fees and other required educational expenses. They may not be used to purchase electronic equipment or musical instruments.

Award Amount: The winner of the Society of Daughters of the United States Army (DUSA Scholarship) will receive $1,500, renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,500.
