Additional Information: Scholarships may be awarded to all eligible children in the same family. The scholarship committee, comprised of volunteers and staff, reviews all applications in the spring of each year. Its decisions are based on the family financial situation, academic performance, extracurricular activities, jobs, the military record of the qualifying parent, and any other circumstances that the applicant submits for consideration, with special consideration for those applicants whose parent was killed or wounded in the line of duty. All applicants will be notified of their status by July 15.

Award Amount: Awards range from $500 to $10,000 annually, non-renewable. Please note that the higher-level scholarships are very competitive. Students must reapply each year, and can receive awards a total of four times. Scholarships of $5,000 annually, renewable for up to three additional years, are offered to students whose parent was killed in the ongoing global War on Terror. The scholarship must be used for the cost of attendance (also defined as the cost of education or student budget) as determined by the financial aid administrator of the student's school. The scholarship may be reduced or withdrawn if it causes the financial aid package the student's school has offered him/her to exceed his/her cost of attendance.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $22,750.
