In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must be a resident of Pueblo, Fremont, Crowley, Otero, Custer, Huerfano, Las Animas, Alamosa, Costilla, Conejos, Bent, Prowers, or Baca county in Colorado.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must be a high school senior or undergraduate at the time of application.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. high school and undergraduate students from one of the following southern Colorado counties: Pueblo, Fremont, Crowley, Otero, Custer, Huerfano, Las Animas, Alamosa, Costilla, Conejos, Bent, Prowers, or Baca. A GPA of 3.0 or higher and full-time enrollment is required.

Additional Information: The Pueblo Higher Education Foundation helps students turn their educational dreams into reality by providing scholarships for higher education to students of the Pueblo and southern Colorado area.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications and information about this award are available on the Pueblo Hispanic Education Foundation website at the address provided. In addition to the completed application form, interested students must submit the following items: transcripts of all educational institutions attended; a typed, personal statement of at least 500 words; two letters of recommendation; a current, one-page resume; and the Student Aid Report (SAR) obtained from filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at https://fafsa.ed.gov/. For the initial application, unofficial transcripts will be accepted, but official transcripts must be on file with the Foundation prior to award disbursement. All applications and supporting documents must be received by the deadline date.
