  1. This award is for international students.
  2. Must be an Indian passport holder.
  3. Must have completed one or more years of graduate work in the United States at time of application.
  4. Must attend Columbia University.

Application requirements for the Taraknath Das Foundation Grant-in-Aid are:

  • Photocopy of passport
Additional Information: Applicants must demonstrate substantial financial need. The competition for these grants is fierce, and the awardees are excellent and deserving. Grants are currently awarded in October.

Award Amount: Approximately $3,000 to $7,000 annually, non-renewable. This amount can vary based on the recipient's financial need and the amount of funding available.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,500.
