Samuel Robinson Award

The Samuel Robinson Award seeks to stimulate interest in the Westminster Shorter Catechism by challenging Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) members who are juniors or seniors in college and attending a Presbyterian-related college or university to memorize and recite the catechism from memory. To further demonstrate understanding, student will have the option to write an essay on an assigned topic or complete a project to be considered for additional awards. Applicants will memorize and recite the catechism from memory. Recitation applicants will be considered for an award of up to $2,000. Supplemental awards are available for students who write an essay on an assigned topic (up to $2,000) and/or design a modern catechism (up to $4,000). The largest possible award is up to $8,000 for Recitation, Essay, and Catechism project.

Christian Connector “Your RoadMap” $2,000 Christian College Scholarship

Complete the form to receive information from Christian colleges and enter the $5,000 Christian college scholarship drawing. The Christian Connector, as well as those schools that you request information from, will receive your information so they can respond and meet your information request. After completing this form and reviewing your schools of interest, you may also take advantage of the Christian College Scholarship Search. Students must be at least 13 years old to complete our forms.

Catholic Order of Foresters Fraternal Scholarship

Catholic Order of Foresters is interested in developing future leaders for the Church and the community. This award is for high school seniors who will be entering college. Applicants must be insured members of the Catholic Order of Foresters. Each year 20 scholarships are awarded. Up to $5,000 awarded.

Wesleyan College Margaret A. Pitts Endowed Scholarship for Methodist Students

This scholarship is open to U.S. and international students who enroll as first-time freshmen at Wesleyan College in Georgia (a women’s college). Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and an SAT score of 1000 or higher or an ACT score of 21 or higher; students must also be active members of a United Methodist church.

The Champions for Christ Foundation was founded by Mac Snyder as a member at City View First Baptist Church. The vision is to help students going into full-time ministry with education assistance. Jewish Federation Academic Scholarship

This scholarship is available for U.S. college juniors and seniors who are Jewish and demonstrate career promise in a helping profession. Students must also meet one or both of the following criteria: he/she was born or raised in either Cook County, the Chicago metropolitan area, or northwest Indiana OR he/she has completed one continuous year of full-time employment in Cook County or the Chicago metropolitan area prior to starting professional education.

The Ruth Scholarship

The RUTH SCHOLARSHIP is designed to be awarded for women ages 16-25, who have overcome adversity whether it be by breaking with their past, or have found themselves in a situation not unlike the young woman of the Old Testament story. The book of Ruth provides a wonderful picture of a young woman giving up all that is familiar to honor her mother-in-law—and ultimately God. Her sacrifice eventually placed her in the lineage of Christ and gave her a permanent place in history.

Hardin-Simmons University Endowed Scholarships for Ministerial Students

Endowed scholarships for ministerial students vary in the amounts that are awarded. Freshman and sophomores typically receive a base-level award amount for the fall and spring semesters and then are considered for awards of higher amounts based their academic performance for their junior and senior years.
