In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  2. Must be accepted to, or in good standing, at an accredited graduate school.
  3. Must be majoring in communication science or communication disorders.
  4. Must be a minority student.

Description: This scholarship is available for minority students who are majoring in communication science and/or communication disorders. Applicants must be accepted to, or in good standing at an accredited graduate program in the U.S.

Additional Information: The American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation (ASHFoundation) invites full-time students who will be or who are currently enrolled in a graduate program in communication sciences and disorders to submit applications in competition for graduate scholarship awards. Scholarships are available to students who are undergraduate seniors or students who are currently pursuing master's or doctoral degrees. Both research and clinical doctorate candidates are eligible. Each year, at least one award is reserved for a minority student so as to provide increasing cultural diversity and breadth of perspective to the field of communication disorders and pathology.

Award Amount: $5,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $5,000.
