Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must attend Florida State College at Jacksonville.
  2. Must major in nursing.
  3. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher in grades 9 through 12 with at least a 'C' or better in high school chemistry.
  4. Must enroll in six or more credit hours each semester.
  5. This award is for U.S. students.
  6. Must be an undergraduate student at the time of application.
  7. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for U.S. students who are enrolled in the nursing program at Florida State College of Jacksonville (FSCJ). Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and in six or more credit hours per semester.

Application requirements for the Barnes Family Endowed Scholarship for Nursing Students are:

Additional Information: This scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to nursing students at FSCJ who place an extremely high value on their education. Although not required for eligibility, preference will be given to single parents.

Award Amount: $1,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.
