Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. Must reside in Hillsborough County, Florida.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher.
  3. Must have a combined math and verbal SAT score of 1150 or higher or an ACT score of 26 or higher.
  4. This award is for U.S. students.
  5. Must qualify for free or reduced school lunch costs.
  6. Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident.
  7. Must be a high school senior at the time of application.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is available for current high school seniors residing in Hillsborough County, Florida who have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher and math/verbal SAT scores of 1150 or higher. Applicants must demonstrate financial hardships and family income that qualifies for free or reduced school lunches.

Additional Information: Provided in honor of Mary and Bob Sierra, this scholarship is awarded each year to a Hillsborough County high school senior who demonstrates academic excellence and plans to attend a college or university upon graduation. Applicants should also demonstrate a commitment to community service and participation in community activities.

Award Amount: $10,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $10,000.
