Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. students.
  2. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  3. Must be currently serving or have served in any branch of the military. If the applicant has previous military service, he/she must have been honorably discharged.
  4. Must be a non-traditional student.
  5. This is an undergraduate award.
  6. Must attend the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Additional Information: Students who demonstrate strong character and show great potential, especially as leaders and students, shall be given preference. Financial need may be a consideration in the selection but is not the primary consideration.

Award Amount: Up to $1,000 annually, renewable for one additional year if the recipient demonstrates continued academic progress.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,000.

Applications are available online from the University of Wisconsin (UW)- Eau Claire website. There is not a separate application for this award. The student will be considered upon admission to UW-Eau Claire. In addition to the completed admissions application, the student must submit a $40 fee, transcripts, and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov, at high school guidance offices, and at college financial aid offices. Applications must be submitted by the deadline date.
