Description: Amherst College provides generous need-based financial aid options for all admitted undergraduate students. Applicants must apply for and be accepted for enrollment and must demonstrate financial need by filing a FAFSA report for the current tax year.

Additional Information: Amherst College provides comprehensive financial aid through need-based scholarships and grants. All students who are accepted and complete a FAFSA prior to the aid deadline will be considered, and amounts will vary depending on the student's demonstrated ability to finance tuition. In addition to need-based grants, students may also be eligible for additional funding through on-campus work study programs that provide nearly $2 million annually for enrolled students.

Award Amount: Award amounts vary depending on each student's demonstrated financial need. In the prior academic year, the average scholarship amount was $51,775. Financial aid is renewable for up to all four years of undergraduate study.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $155,325.
