Number of Awards & Eligibility: 10 awards offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for U.S. and international students.
  2. Must be a full-time or part-time employee of a National Ice Cream Retailers Association (NICRA) member business.
  3. Must be a high school senior or older to apply for this undergraduate award. Current high school seniors must have applied or have been accepted to an accredited college or university.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: Employees of a National Ice Cream Retailers Association member business may apply for this need-based scholarship. Applicants must be college-bound high school seniors, or current college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors.

Application requirements for the Bryce Thomson Scholarship Fund are:

Additional Information: Applicants must display a strong academic record, leadership in both school and community activities or part-time work schedule and demonstrate financial need. The scholarship committee will select winners based on the following approximate percentages: need, 45 percent; academic excellence, 30 percent; and student essay, 25 percent. The winners will be announced at the NICRA Annual Convention.

Award Amount: A total of $17,000 will be awarded, as follows: one $3,500 award; two $2,500 awards; one $2,000 award; one $1,500 award; and five $1,000 awards. All awards are non-renewable. Students may choose how the money is awarded: tuition, books,lab fees, or room and board.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,700.
