Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  3. Must be a female.
  4. Must be a member of the Society of Women Engineers.
  5. Must major in astronautical engineering, astronautical engineering technology, aeronautical/aerospace engineering, aeronautical/aerospace engineering technology, or any space-related engineering major.
  6. Must be a full-time student.
  7. Must be a college sophomore, junior, or senior at time of application. The student must be in a position to accept the scholarship for the school year in which it is being awarded.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for undergraduate members of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) who are majoring in a space-related engineering field. Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and plan to enroll full time.

Application requirements for the Judith Resnik Memorial Scholarship are:

  • Recommendation letter
  • Application form
  • Official Transcript
  • College acceptance letter
  • Resume
Additional Information: Applicants may not be current recipients of a renewable SWE scholarship or receiving full funding for education from another organization (such as members of the armed services attending US military academies and students receiving full reimbursement from an employer.) The applicant must enroll or plan to enroll in a program accredited by ABET. Accreditation information on specific programs is available online at main.abet.org/aps/Accreditedprogramsearch.aspx.

Award Amount: $4,000 annually, non-renewable.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $4,000.
