Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be an undergraduate student. Post-doctorate students are not eligible.
  3. Must be currently enrolled full time at an accredited college or university. Students enrolled in two-year or junior colleges are eligible.
  4. Must be pursuing an engineering, materials science, or physical science discipline.
  5. Must reside within the boundaries of the NACE Philadelphia Section, which includes: Eastern Pennsylvania, Western New Jersey, and Delaware. A specific list of eligible counties is available in the online application.

Additional Information: The NACE Philadelphia Section Liberty Bell Academic Scholarship was created to recognize outstanding students within the NACE Philadelphia Section who are interested in pursuing a career in the field of science and/or engineering. The NACE Foundation will award one (1) scholarship in the amount of $3,000 on behalf of the NACE Philadelphia Section.

Award Amount: $3,000 annually, non-renewable. Previous applicants and recipients are eligible to reapply each year in open competition with new applicants. All scholarship monies are paid directly to the recipient’s college or university and are to be used for educational expenses only. Expenses include, but not limited to: tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses at the educational institution.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $3,000.
