Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This award is available for U.S. and Canadian undergraduate juniors and seniors and graduate students who have a career goal within the seed industry. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the Seed Companies Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Recommendation letters (2)
  • Transcript
Additional Information: The seed companies Ball, Pan-American, Goldsmith, and Syngenta are leaders in the seed production and breeding industry, providing new, improved varieties. These seed companies cooperatively sponsor this scholarship. Each student who has won a scholarship will be sent a notification letter by U.S. mail. Scholarship decisions will be made by August of each year.

Award Amount: $2,500 annually, non-renewable. All scholarships are provided as cash awards with checks issued jointly in the name of the recipient and the college or institution he/she will be attending in the fall.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,500.
