Number of Awards & Eligibility: One award offered annually.
In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:
  1. This award is for international and U.S. students.
  2. Must be a citizen or resident of the U.S. or Canada OR be enrolled in an accredited educational institution in the U.S. or Canada.
  3. Must be an undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior.
  4. Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Must be pursuing a career in floriculture.

In order to qualify, students must meet the following criteria:

Description: This scholarship is open to U.S. and Canadian undergraduate sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are pursuing a career in floriculture; preference is given to students interested in furthering the use of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) or sustainable practices. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Application requirements for the BioWorks IPM/Sustainable Practices Scholarship are:

  • Application form
  • Recommendation letters (2)
  • Transcript
Additional Information: Students will be selected on the basis of sound academic performance. While not mandatory, it is strongly desired that the student be interested in furthering the use of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) or sustainable practices, and preference will be given in this area. Each student who has won a scholarship will be sent a notification letter by U.S. mail. Scholarship decisions will be made by August of each year.

Award Amount: $1,200 annually, non-renewable. All scholarships are provided as cash awards with checks issued jointly in the name of the recipient and the college or institution he/she will be attending in the fall.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $1,200.
