According to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, workers with a bachelor’s degree earn around $1,134 per week. That’s nearly half a grand more than those with just a high school diploma!
Popular Scholarships for Short People
Little People of America organization provides support and information to people of short stature and their families. There are two different Little People of America scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students. This is offered to those people affected by dwarfism. Awards could range from $250 to $1000 (sometimes more).
The applicant could either be a member of LPA who has dwarfism and provides medical documentation, an immediate family member of dwarfs (who are also paid members of the LPA), or someone with dwarfism not associated with the LPA.

Another popular scholarship for being short is the “Short People Scholarship” This scholarship is awarded to individuals who are 4’11” or shorter. To apply, simply fill out an online application and include a short essay (no more than 500 words) on why being short has been a challenge in your life.
Tips for Applying for Scholarships
The most important tip for applying for scholarships is to start early and stay organized. Keep a list of all the scholarships you’re interested in and their deadlines. Then, set aside time each week to work on your applications. It’s also a good idea to get someone else to read over your essays before you submit them – they may be able to catch errors or suggest ways to improve your essay. The scholarship will be publicly awarded at the Gracies Leadership Awards event in?the Fall. This award was created in 2015 through a partnership with?NCTA-?The Internet & Television Association.
The “Empowering America” Scholarship program consists of one $3,000 scholarship for a winning student and one $2,000 scholarship for a student selected as runner-up, made payable directly to each student’s educational institute. The winner will create two profiles/interview pieces for the AWM website.
Little People of America, Inc., (LPA) Membership is offered to those people affected by dwarfism. Awards can range from $250 to $1000 (sometimes more). A scholarship committee will review application packets, as well as individual donors. Awards shall be limited to two awards for undergraduate studies.
The Ellen Highland Fernandez Scholarship for Graduate Studies is for students obtaining a Masters or Ph.D. degree and enrolled for the 2020-21 school year. There will be one recipient. Scholarships may be renewed (you have to re-apply) for up to 3 years of graduate work, at the decision of the Scholarship Committee.
Two promising female undergraduate or graduate student applicants are wanted to provide future journalistic content for AWM. The “Emerging Voices” Scholarship program consists of two scholarships. The winner will receive $3,000 and the runner-up will receive $1,000, made payable directly to each student’s educational institute.
The Jockey Club Scholarship Jack Goodman Scholarship was created in 2007 and is awarded annually to a student or students at the University of Arizona’s Race Track Industry Program (RTIP). The $6,000 ($3,000 per semester) annual scholarship is based on academic achievement, proposed career path in the Thoroughbred racing industry.
