Description: This creative and fun scholarship program is open to all U.S. students who are 14 and older and who are currently enrolled (or enroll no later than fall of 2026) in an accredited postsecondary institution of higher education. One scholarship winner with an imaginative and well-written response to the scholarship question about the Zombie Apocalypse will receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Additional Information:

Award Amount: $2,000 annually, non-renewable. The scholarship prize will be in the form of a check made payable to the accredited postsecondary institution of higher education attended by the scholarship prize recipient (once the scholarship prize recipient has enrolled in an accredited postsecondary institution of higher education and submitted proof of enrollment to the sponsor). The scholarship prize recipient must submit proof of enrollment on or before Dec. 31, 2026.  The total dollars awarded for this scholarship is $2,000.

Applications are available online. A complete application must include name and contact information, background details, academic details, and a short original, previously unpublished written response to the following scholarship topic: Imagine that your high school or college has been overrun with zombies. Your math professor, the cafeteria ladies, and even your best friend have all joined the walking dead. Flesh out a plan to avoid the zombies, including where you’d hide and the top-five things you’d bring to stay alive. The student's written response must be written in English, with correct spelling and grammar, and it must not exceed 250 words. No substitutions of new drafts or corrected pages will be accepted once the student has submitted his/her original application. All applications become the property of the sponsor and will not be returned. The sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or unintelligible entries. Applications must be submitted online by 11:59 pm Pacific Time on the deadline date. Limit one application per person.
