Elisa - 03/25/2024

I think that Hawaii Community College is very affordable, with an amazing staff. The teachers have always been so kind to me and available to help answer any quesitons I may have. The campus isn't anything special, but it definitely is safe. The classroom sizes are also good.

angelina - 10/28/2022

I think that Hawaii Community College is an exceptional school. The first thing that caught my attention was the kindness of their staff. I could sense a warmness and a desire to actually help me, rather than being there simply because it is their job. I received guidance that I desperately needed at the time and know for a fact that I would not be where I am today without their help. I would recommend anyone to attend Hawaii Community College because it a welcoming community that provides educational courses with flexible options.

jyneth - 11/27/2019

I just love the community overall.

Kayla - 09/22/2019

I enjoy going to Hawaii Community College because the class sizes are intimate and I am able to talk to teachers and faculty regularly if I had any questions or concerns. Everyone is nice and I feel safe on campus at all times. Professors make it known that they are readily available during office hours to help in any way they can. They make it known that they want you to succeed. Since it is a community college, there is no on-campus housing, sports events, etc.

Hawaii Community College FAQS

  1. What is the Acceptance Rate at Hawaii Community College?

The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Hawaii Community College is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020 , _____ students were offered admission. The number of males who applied was _____ vs the number of females which was _____.

  2. What should every freshman at your school know before they start?

I would encourage myself to seek part-time employment to help with expenses, because college is expensive and you are not guarented a scholarship or financial aid. However, I would suggest that you do apply for as many scholarships that you are eligible for and to also apply for financial aid, as soon as possible. Also, there are several student loan programs available for those who do not qualify for financial aid. Although you are given freedom to make your own choices, always be deligant with your homework assignments and always refer back to your syllabus for due dates and instructions.
