This award is available for high school seniors in Pinellas County, Florida who are active in jazz music and plan to pursue a career or major in music.
Cedric H. Glover Performing Arts Memorial Scholarship
This award is available for high school seniors in Monroe, Ohio who plan to major in music or performing arts at an accredited college or university in the U.S. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
National Young Artists Solo Competition
This scholarship is open to U.S. students who will be high school seniors in the fall of 2015. Students must play a woodwind instrument in their high school band, and must plan to major in music.
James M. and Virginia M. Smyth Scholarship Fund
This scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate students who are majoring in the arts/sciences, human services, music, or ministry. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to applicants from Missouri, Mississippi, Georgia, Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas, and Tennessee.
Mario Lanza Institute Scholarship Program
This scholarship competition is open to all students who are 21-28 years of age with a background in the study of vocal music. Students must attend preliminary auditions in Philadelphia, PA, to qualify for prizes.
MTNA Composition Competition
This competition for musical compositions is open to U.S. students who are 5-26 years of age as of Jan. 1, 2019. Students must submit an original musical composition in any style.
MTNA Young Artist Performance Competition
This music performance competition is open to U.S. students who are 19-26 years of age as of Jan. 1. Students must enter in one of the following categories: brass (trumpet, horn, euphonium, trombone, tuba); piano; string (violin, viola, cello, string bass); voice; woodwind (flute, clarient, oboe, bassoon, saxophone).
MTNA Chamber Music Performance Competition
This music ensemble competition performance is open to U.S. students who are 18-26 years of age as of Jan. 1. Ensembles may consist of the following instruments in any combination: brass (trumpet, horn, euphonium, trombone, tuba), piano, string (violin, viola, cello, string bass), voice (maximum of two vocalists in an ensemble with instruments), and woodwind (flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone).
MTNA Senior Performance Competition
This music performance competition is open to U.S. students who are 15-18 years of age as of Jan. 1, 2019; one entrant in each piano duo may be 11-18 years of age. The categories for entry in the competition are: brass (trumpet, horn, euphonium, trombone, tuba); solo piano; piano duet (one piano/four hands); string (violin, viola, cello, string bass); voice; and woodwind (flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone).
