AASEA Memorial Scholarships
The AASEA Memorial Scholarships is open to current Arkansas residents or currently employed by a school district or educational cooperative in Arkansas. Recipients from past years may not re-apply. Up to five scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $2,000 each. Click here to learn more and apply today!
AAGEA Scholarships
The AAGEA Scholarships is available for students pursuing a graduate degree in gifted education and administration or another field approved by the AAGEA. Recipients from prior years are not eligible.
Special Education Teacher Scholarship
SPEDxchange is an online community of special education teachers, Speech- Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and others who advocate for special education students and their families. A $1,000 award is offered for undergraduate or graduate students that are interested in working with special needs students.
Joseph T. Weingold Scholarship for Special Education Students
This award is for students enrolled in a New York State degree program, leading to a special education certification. These two $3,000 annual scholarships are per paid in two installments of $1,500 per semester. The funds must be claimed within a four-year period from the time the scholarship is awarded.
The Whelan Foundation Scholarship Program
The Whelan Foundation awards grants to support the higher educational goals of its recipients. It is their goal to equalize opportunities for recipients on Long Island that are normally denied them because of cost. Two Scholarships for Special Education majors totaling up to $10,000.00 per school year are awarded.
Whelan Foundation Student Loan Debt Reduction Program
The SLDR is designed to help those who have student debt, and to help ease the financial burden of student loans. Four (4) recipients are chosen for the Student Loan Debt Reduction (SLDR) Award. The award will be disbursed one year at a time. A minimum of $2,500 will be distributed annually for the period of three (3) years.
Tiffany Diamond Memorial Scholarship
The Tiffany Diamond Memorial Scholarship is one of several programs. It awards one $500 scholarship will be awarded to an individual who is pursuing a junior college, undergraduate, or graduate degree in a therapeutic field (e.g. Occupational, Physical, Speech Recreational, Social Work, Psychology).
AASEA Legacy Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded for undergraduate Junior, Senior, or graduate study in fields related to the delivery of services to children with special needs and/or to those who have a disability for which he or she has received services. Consideration is given to anyone employed by school districts or educational cooperatives in Arkansas.
Sertoma of Springfield IL Scholarships
Sertoma’s mission is to improve the quality of life today for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss through education and support. This is a one semester renewable $1250 scholarship to support area students who plan careers in hearing disorders. Undergraduates, graduate and PhD students are encouraged to apply.
