Some advice that I would give to anyone attending college would be to look for qualities and statements from the school about things that they believe are the most important for their school. When I was looking at colleges and trying to decide where i wanted to go, I looked at that and Brigham Young University Idaho stuck out to me because I knew I would be with those who believed the same things that I do and I knew what the school stood for bafore I even applied. I didn't want to go to a school where I knew there would be the pressure to drink alcohol and do drugs. I didn't even want to put myself in that situation. I wanted to go to a school where people would uplift me rather then try to bring me down. So I would tell them to look for a school that makes clear what they stand for.

To choose the correct college you need to look around at all possible colleges to see what you like about each and see if any stand out to you. To make the most out of your college experience, you need to be active in what happens to you. Try new things, meet new people you wouldn't normally be friends with, and make the most of your life. Study as hard as you can, and be open and friendly to everyone around you. After studying, your reason for going to college is to make the most of your life. Be responsible but take the oppurtunity to have fun.

Parents and future students of undergraduate colleges should take into consideration the academic and social aspects to find the right school. A school should have high expectations academically with teachers that are actively engaged with their students. In addition to the academics, there should be a wide variety of arts, sports, clubs, and service opportunities for students. Becoming involved in the school enhances your experience as a student and helps prepare you for life after college. Students of Brigham Young University-Idaho should know of the "Spirit of Ricks" that envelops the campus. With the "Spirit of Ricks" students grow and learn with students and faculty to achieve not only their greatest academic potential but to become the best person that the can possibly become. Learn the history of the college and raise to the expectations of the alumni. The best college experience has friends, challening classes with teacher's that help, and an administration that shows they care for the students and the campus.

Of course, the most important thing a college can offer someone is a degree in his/her desired field. So make sure that college offers a great program in whatever you want to major in. The next important aspect of a college is the activities, sports, and clubs. College can be so much fun, so check out the websites of different schools and see if you would enjoy what they have to offer. Then when you come to school, get involved in what ever whatever your schedule will permit. Lastly make lot's of friends and, you'll have a blast!

Finding the right college for you is a very important and difficult decision. To choose which college is right for you, you first need to decide what you are interested in studying, and find schools that offer those programs. Then you should decide things like, how far away from home you want to be, and how big of a school you would like to attend. Choose places where you will receive a good quality education, at the same time being comfortable and happy. Narrow down your list of possible colleges you would like to attend, and visit them! I believe that this is one of the most important steps to making this decision, because you will actually get to experience what it would be like to attend each university, and you can ask questions and get first hand responses. Good luck!

You should choose a place where you can feel at home and really enjoy your classes, friends, and professors.

Have fun. Don't be afraid to do stuff. You're only this age once with responsibility for no one else for you just this once in your life. Enjoy it. Live life to the fullest. Take every oppurtunity. Be responsible, but be crazy and spontaneous too.

The best advice that I would give a student who is looking for the right college to go to, is the advice that I was given when I was looking at a few different colleges. My parents told me that deciding what college to go to is extremely important for the future, but what matters most is taking advantage of all the wonderful opportunities to learn and grow while attending college. College is hard and the classes are tough, but what has helped me through these hard years is pretending to love the whole experience, until I began to truly love the stage of life I am in. That is the greatest advice I can give; be positive and great things will happen to you. Remember also that attending college is not all about parties and having fun or all about studying and homework. It is important to find a balance in your life and make time for the things that are truly important and it will bring you nothing but success and happiness in your life.

When picking a college, academics should always come first. If you know exactly what you want to study, research colleges with great programs in that area of study. Always find a college that has great academic programs across the board, so if you decide to change your major, you know that each program will provide you with the best education. Second, is activities. Part of the college experience is having fun, along with studying. Find a college that offers a sport you like to play, an academic club you are interested in, or a music venue where you can play. Those students who are actively involved in both their school work and in extra-curricular activies are the ones who are the happiest. It provides another means of meeting people and making lasting relationships. Finding a healthy balance between work and play will aide you in making wise choices as you get older. Devote this time to finding out who are you, what you want out of life, and how to achieve it. If you find the college that can help you answer those questions, you have found the right school.

it's not where you are it's what you do and who you are doing it with.

First of all, in finding a college, look for the college that offers the major and classes that you want to take and a few other possibilities of a major. Therefore, in the case that you decide to change your major, you will not have to change schools to change your major. Then you want to look for a college that best fits your religious and/or social standards, i.e. if you don't drink, you don't necessarily have to go to a religious school, but you may want to look for a school where drinking is not a major aspect of social life. To make the most of your collge experience, you should go into it with an attitude for success and, most importantly, work hard at all you do. After all, your education is the main reason for you going to college. While it is important to focus on your school work, don't let it take over your life. You need to have a social life. Make friends and date people with the same interests as you, possibly those who are in some of your classes, but don't let it interfere with your grades.

Look for class size and availiability of tutors. This will make the difference in being succesful in college.

i would say being somewhat close to home would be best. being on the other side of the country from my parents is difficult and it would be great to be able to go home every once in a while and get a home cooked meal and free load off the family again, sometimes.

Look for something you want!

Like anything in life, you'll find out the most if you just jump in. Go check out the campus, talk to someone who's already been there; do whatever you can to immerse yourself. You're the best judge of what's right for you, but the job will be easier if you can get a feel for the school and its students. Once you get to school, remember: You get out what you bring to the situation, so learn to be optimistic and self-motivated now. It'll pay off later, trust me.

College is a big step for students. It is very similar to high school in the sense of classes, curriculum, and school spirit. But finding the college campus, community and life styles that are offered that fit you current and future needs is never easy. One of the most important things to rememeber when choosing a college is that you will remember your college experience for years to come, and it will change you life in ways that you never thought possible. Enjoy the moments that are presented to you, and live to the fullest and best capacity that you can.

Plan ahead; have a goal, a vision, a dream. The step to college is your first step into the discovery of an ultimately fascinating and challenging world. There is so much opportunity--so much to learn, so much to discover. Know what you want and then seek for an education that will push you to succeed. Find a school that provides practiced specialists who will care enough to help you succeed. Choose a school that will push you to the limits of your abilities time and again until you discover your even greater ability beyond.
Find the desire to succeed. Find a dream that your heart races to achieve. Find a goal that will inspire and drive you. Write it out. Make a plan. Hold to it. Submit your energy to that focus. Work hard. Never give up. You will find moments of discouragement. Everyone does. Those who will be great are not those who never fail, but those who push forward with even greater stamina. They are those who rise again, conquer each set-back, and work beyond each moment when natural ability seems to fail. They are you and me with a dream and a will.
