I loved Bunker Hill Community College! I had a fantastic experience with the students who come from very humbling backgrounds. Everyone is there to learn and make friends. The professors provide help and you can actually get to know the person. Learning is made easier because of the smaller class size and resources available such as the provided online and in-person tutoring, math center, and writing space. I also was able to get many internships considering the location of this school is in Boston and next to Cambridge, there are plenty of opportunities. Companies and other universities such as Harvard, Tufts, and Boston University are looking for underrepresented or community college students to have in their labs. Great and amazing experience overall!

Bunker Hill is a fantastic school. The students and professors are all so kind, and more than willing to lend a hand if you need it. I've never had a "bad" professor or bad class. The educators are all very invested in our learning and you can tell that they just want to see us all succeed.

The faculty is very helpful. They will try to respond to your concern as soon as possible. The professors are understanding and kind. They will work with you to help you excel. They will also try their best to explain to you. If you want to be in a certain professor's class that is full, email them they will allow you in their class. Don't forget to check the professor review from rate my professor. Also, there a lot of work-study opportunities, and they will easily hire you- just email them.

I think it's a great community college. It's right next to the train station, so it's easy for me to travel there. The facilty that I've interacted with were very friendly and helpful. They guided me to any resources I needed and answered my questions with useful advice. The website was my first impression of the school. The layout seemed a little overwhelming at first glance. Though there's a lot of information on the homepage, everything is organized. You'll be able to find almost everything you need, including contact information if you have more questions. So far, I'm enjoying my classes. They are relevant to my graduation requirements and I'm learning information that is important to my preferred career path.

I think that bunker hill is a place that does allow for students to get a better opportunity for a better education but in terms of how they teach it's not really the best seeing as the professors are mostly old so they're trying to teach us straight out of a textbook which isn't the best for everyone. As for student union everyone is willing to talk but mostly everyone stays with their group of friends so it kinda reminds you of high school.

I like the school. There are good programs. There are great art courses with impressive faculty, at a low cost because it is a Community College. There is also a developing art presence at the school. It appears that the school, through various faculty, intends to be a go-to art school, for more of the entry level stuff.

My overall opinion of BHCC is that it a very good school. We offer hundreds of programs to chose from and we have a great diversity of students who are into educations and supportive stuff members. The professor are always there for you when you need. They are free from office hours to emails or before and after class. We also offer tutoring section for the students that may need extra help for any types of school related work. BHCC also provide clubs, multi-cultural events, and important people come to the school. Overall Bunker Hill is a great college to choose if your interested!

The students and professors are the absolute best! I have never met a professor here who isn't willing to not help you. They are always available to meet with students.

Good school, I always recommend it to my friends and collegues at work, the academic level is some what high than other community colleges. they have a variety of courses in any field. really, I'm satisfied with the service they provide. and I extremely recommand it to new students because it's not expensive compared to the level of education and safety they provide to the students.

This school means a great deal to me as it is my stepping stone and has helped me a lot getting into the mainstream education. I find myself to be very ambitious and I want to bring out the best in myself and I have seen the instructors and tutors help me achieve that goal.

At first i thought Bunker wasn't the best choice, but then I went to visit and my whole point of view changed. They have a nice campus, and very amazing teachers that are there to help the students. The food is great and it's a great way to save money.

Pretty impressive, I must say. In my experience, Bunker Hill Community College has a much better curriculum and a more diverse atmosphere than any other community college out there. The students who attended here are actually here to learn and are interested in learning.

Great school! Lovely professors!
The school does not have an on site dorm for students but it is a two year school. The professors do really care about you and they have a bunch of opportunities for students. My favorite place to go to is "Writing Center". I love to write books and short stories and that is the perfect place to go to in order to have someone look over your work and give their opinion. I love every person in the "Writing Center". They make you go deeper with your thoughts and your stories making them better and better. Never a dull moment without the staff!

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I would tell myself to don't go listen to other people about needing to experience college life by going away because that is only a portion of it. Also I would tell myself it would have been okay to take a semester off before attending college. Being that I was Valectdictorian, I was burned out working so hard my four years of high school. It would have been okay if I took a semester off.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
I believe some of the administrative departments are the worst part of my school. There is not a lot of help guiding you so that you know the appropriate person or department you need to talk to when you are trying to solve an issue. Response time to emails and voice messages is very slow and frustrating.
What's the one thing you wish someone had told you about freshman year?
Prior to coming to this school I wish I had known how great online classes are. I was intimidated by them when I first returned to school but when I finally did take the plunge and signed up for one the result was fantastic. The flexiblity it allows is fantastic, they are a huge part of the reason I was so succesful upon my return to higher ed.
What's the most frustrating thing about your school?
The most frustrating thing was ending up in a crowded classroom. It was hard to concentrate when you felt like you could't breathe. It would get hot and uncomfortable. Those classes were usually the longest too, up to four hours.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
Bunker Hill personfies the word unique. The staff, resources, and student organizations all make this institution an amazing stepping stone for students who want to transfer to four year institutions. When i first began attending Bunker Hill I was nervous. I felt as though people would judge me for going to school there. Upon walking into the doors that fear and angst shed away as I was greeted instantly and treated with respect and genuine sincerity. I have never felt that same welcoming feeling at any other educational institution.
I think my school is only if u need pre-requisties or need a quick class. I feel they have too many people and not enough staff to handle the rush of students. i Also dont like that there way too many people rushing everywhere and no security. this school should only be the strat of your college career not the end.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
Anyone of any culture and financial status should attend this school. Bunker Hill Community College gives you an opportunity to meet different type of people, find out what you really want to do as far as a career choice, and gives you the opportunity to bring your GPA up.
My school is best known for having great professors .The faculty and staff really help you with your college experience by allowing you the opportunity to go at it alone .While getting help for when it gets tough.
the academics at my school is good depending on the professor you get. ive only taken three classes so far at this school and i have had a good experience. I have a online class which is good because it is on my time and i dont have to show up anywhere, only problem is i feel like i didnt learn anything.i feel the school academic require meets good standards if you are going to transfer out soon. this school is geared towards getting a trade or a certificate. all in all the academics are decent.
What is the stereotype of students at your school? Is this stereotype accurate?
My school has alot of foreginers, adults, and young adults with children. The stereotype is only a certain type of people go to my school. But it is a go school if you are looking for a diverse group.
There is no specific kind of person that should attend Bunker Hill. The school caters to everyone from all walks of life. The one trait I would say is common within the students at the institution would definitely be their will to succeed. Once I became closer with many of my colleagues we began discussing their reasons for being in school. All of them understood the key to success is through education and that was their main motivation for being in school. If one wants to succeed, I reccommend Bunker Hill.
