I found out that Truman City College is not real along with all the other city colleges. It's basically a scam to steal students money, none of the credits from any of the seven city colleges would be transferable to any real four year university. Attending this school or any of the seven city colleges would be a complete waste of time and pell grant funding. When I started attended in 2018, almost all the students and some of the instructors there were mentally ill. Almost none them didn't even have a GED or a high school education. Quite a few of the so called instructors were convicted pedophiles and some of the staff members as well. There also was quite a bit of drug dealing as well. Not to mention that almost everyone in the school was gay or lesbian, and they did not like straight men at all! There were a lot of swingers that attended this school as well, they would go there just to have bizarre sex with other people. I heard the ESL students were the worst. Just like in ancient Greece, city colleges are a place were people go to have sex. That's why security there is a joke! However, if you start asking the wrong questions like what do teachers do in other classrooms or in a certain hall room. Truman security will start acting like the police and might even try to have you falsely arrested. It's the city that really runs Truman City College and they are completely corrupt! I was also very concerned about my safety while attending this school, I am the maternal grandson of Col. Luis Cubas. My concerns were ignored by Truman security and administration. The people there are a complete joke, they are not even real. In conclusion, don't even consider enrolling in a city college, none of them are real schools and the credits will be completely worthless.

I think it’s a very diverse school. You get to meet and interact with so many different types of people without traveling out the state. We are encouraged as students and as young adults to do our best and strive for more. The staff is always there when we need them, and it’s just a great place to be.

I have been attending at Truman College for 4 years .It is a great establishment to attend take ESL Classes
Definitely would recommend my friends to enroll to . I have a lot of memories out of those 4 years that I took classes and also the way the teachers are very passionate about their work and students .
It is a amazing institution .

It is a good school. But can Improve. For example don’t like how they force students to pay for the registration in 3 days instead of having a month. It don’t effect me because I got the money but it effects students who are barely paying the present semester and problems for fafsa. Did not plan the cons about doing this plan.

I've been so impressed with City Colleges as a whole. People normally turn their noses up at community colleges but if you ask me it's the best kept secret in the world. Truman has a great variety of resources available to students, such as specialized tutoring centers and an exceptional student government constantly looking to better our environment.

City Colleges of Chicago-Harry S Truman College is a really good school, the most important part of the school for me is how flexible the instructors are. the create more office hours time for student to explain me to the student that really needs it and to me that an amazing thing to do, because its really bringing the students closer to graduation

It's a great place to be as a foundational piece for catapulting into a four-year school. They employ intelligent and caring faculty and staff who care about their students and want them to do well. I am glad that I enrolled at Truman because of the many resources they have that have allowed me to succeed.

All schools have flaws, but Truman has far too many. Several (but not all) of the faculty members seem to be unqualified for the position they hold. The school's structure is minimally supportive for students. The security of the school is pitiful, there were shootings just outside the doors on a near weekly basis last spring.

In my honest opinion I love CCC Harry S Truman it has my major, the major I know it fits me I decided to attend this school to not be in debt too much the program I’m in is great I have learned so much. The only bad thing is getting to school it almost takes me 2 hours to get to the school but other than that it’s great!

Truman College is truly a great experience, this school is very diverse, and is truly amazing academically. The teachers really want to see you succeed, not only as a student, but personally as well. In high school I had a hard time learning new things because I would be distracted or simply have no motivation to continue, but here at Truman everyone shows love and appreciation, there are many clubs to join, and many student activities. I recommend this school for everyone.
Melissa
I think this college is really concerned about its students. All the staff help their students and encourage them to use all the centers are available to us. The teachers and advisors that I have had have been very nice and helpful. I also think that they are very involved with the community.
Maria
Truman is a good college, but the only thing that I do not like is that the security officers do not tell anything to some people that are outside the main entrance of my college. I know that those people can hit women or rape them I am scared about that because I am a woman.

I was scared to study at a community college until i actually started going there. Now college is about going there and studying so in my opinion this college is good for studying but nothing other than that. Community and the facilities (library) is not good enough considering it's a community college and many people go there. But we have to think of it as a place where students go who want to make future, educational institutions such as community colleges are not there to make your future, they are there like stepping stones towards your future. Now its up to you whether you want to use those stepping stones or not.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
I am a 31 year old single mother, finally making the decision to go back to school and purue my education in which I have been longing for. If I could go back in time, I would definitely tell my younger self to please stay in school, stop ditching and finish my senior. Go to as many college tours that I could muster. Choose a prominent culturally diverse university, to get the best education and experiences. Join social networks and study groups, most of all study smart not hard. Reward myself after completion of a project, but not before. Take the present more seriously, because it will most definitely affect my future.
Harry S Truman, is a great community college, which i could recommend for other students who will like to attend. Since i started schooling there, i haven't find any difficulty, in learning. There is so many help opportunity available, for everyone. One thing i like about this school is they care about their students learning. Above all the school is not far from my home. It's a walking distance for me.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
The worst thing about my Highschool is that is really small. There is not enought diversity and everything is brake into small comunities based on minorities. Finally, counciling is terible; they do not talk much about scholarships or universities that might help us in a future.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
What I usually brag to my friends and family about my school is the fact that Harry S. Truman College has a diverse of students. I find myself continueously repeating that " ALL WALKS OF LIFE, ATTEND AND WORK AT MY SCHOOL, AND I LOVE IT! Growing up in a predominately african american neighborhood where poverty lies, was an extreme headache for me. At Truman I found myself interacting with different races and cultures, forming friendships and social networks. This is something that I only dreamed of when I was a child, and now my dream has come true.
What are the most popular student activities/groups?
The most popular student activities/ group are: African and Friends student club, Latinos United for Education ( LUFE ), Pre- pharmacy club, Students of Service, and Truman Bible club.

What kind of person should not attend this school?
The only kind of person who should not attend this school would be one who does not wish to be educated. I feel this is a very good two year school and is very accomadating to older, returning students, as well as foreign students.

Although the credit hours are more affordable than other local colleges, it is still hard to work full time and pay my tuition my myself.
