The best thing about CSU is the community. Although we are not a small school, it feels just small enough to know people in your classes and just large enough to avoid those you want to in class as well. Because Fort Collins is a college town, everyone assumes that you go to CSU if you are in that community, so there are no major reactions when I tell them where I attend college. In fact, most of them are Alum so they can relate to how awesome the school is. The college town feel is prominent in Old Town, which houses most of the coffee shops and bars. It is a fun nightlife setting that I have enjoyed since turning 21. Before I was 21, I rarely spent much time in Old Town, but stayed close the cluster of house parties near campus. My favorite part about CSU is the school spirit. We have a fierce rivalry with CU in Boulder and I like getting all green and gold and going to the annual game! Tailgating is a favorite pastime at every football game and CSU is one of the rare schools that serves beer inside our Sonny Lubick stadium. I will always remember sitting the middle of campus or in the oval on a sunny day skipping class merely because it is nice weather and everyone around me is doing the same thing. We have a chill atmosphere here and I like it that way.

I think that the best thing about CSU are the people and the professors. I think that the relationship between professors and students is encouraged and it makes me feel a lot more comfortable with classes and asking questions. I think that the size of the school for me personally is perfect. I've always wanted to go to a very large school: it offers me more resources. I spend most of my time on campus probably in Rockwell- the Business College. I think that the administration is ok. You hear a lot about Penley making changes to the paper and how the athletic director was shady with Sonny Lubick leaving. I didn't know much about those two topics, but because there was such huge speculation on them, I think sometimes administrators could be more accommodating and realize how much their decisions affect the student body.

The best thing about CSU-the location! I love the city of Fort Collins, there is always something to do, the city itself is very environmentally friendly, the people are incredibly friendly and welcoming to the numerous college kids that make up nearly 20{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of the city's population. I also love the proximity to the mountains, to the plains, and to Denver. Is your school too large, to small, or just right?-I think it's the perfect size. I still run into people I know every time I turn around, but there are plenty of people I haven't met yet so I never get bored, it's great! How do people react when you tell them you go to CSU?-in the state of Colorado it is known as one the top two schools, along with CU-Boulder. I previously attended one of the CU schools, and it was good. CSU and CU just vary at what their specialties are, but I view them as pretty equal (as do other people) except CSU is soooo much cheaper. Where do you spend most of your time on campus?-I spend most of my time in the student center or in the south campus study lounge. College town, for sure. But it's definitely bigger then a town. I have everything I need, minor league hockey team, two malls, plenty of stores, and more restaurants per capita then any other city in the U.S. What's your opinion of administration?-I think our president is a fine businessman, and no matter what anyone says, a university is a business. There are expenditures and what not, you provide a product to your customer (aka student) But what makes our president different then those from years past is that he is striving to go above and beyond, to make the university better and better with each new year. I am very impressed with him. What was the biggest recent controversy on campus?-our school paper wrote FUCK BUSH in it's editorial section. I have never been so embarrassed. Basically, our student paper is terrible. Is there a lot of school pride?-some. a lot of people are indifferent about sports. They don't necessarily want to go to the games, but I have yet to meet someone who wasn't proud to be a Ram! Is there anything unusual about CSU?-The only thing unusual is the education I have received for the price I pay. I may have had the chance to get an even better education at a private institution, but I would have had to pay 10 times more for it. I think CSU is a fantastic bargain. I get a great education at a great price.
