I really like the campus, it wide open and their is the great view of the mountains. The people are really friendly too. The size of the school is 25,000 but it does not feel that big, for me i really enjoy that size. Fort collins is a college town that supports csu inmany ways. The school pride would be alot greater if our sports teams were actually good. It would give the students something to be excited for and someone to root for.

CSU is just the right size for me; not too big nor too small. I spend most of my time on campus in my hall. When it gets nice enough outside, I like to be out by the lagoon tossing a frisbee or throwing a football. I dont really go to any of the CSU games because It kind of sucks when you lose all the time. One thing I dont like about CSU it that in the dorm rooms the students cant control their own heat for their room, so its gets super hot. We would save so much energy if there were some way to control your own heat. I know so many people, including myself, that sleep with the window open even when its snowing becasue your room is too hot.

I like the landscape csu has to offer. More students would be nice. Just right.

I love csu. the campus is open and i like how the dorms surround the playing fields and that the campus is separate from the city of ft collins

It is a pretty good school, I love the campus and the fact you can see the mountains from almost anywhere. When I tell people that I go here, if they are from Colorado they ask me why not CU and if they are from Nebraska they say good choice because I could obviously never go to CU and be a terrible Buff! I think Fort Collins is a great town, it is not just a college town because it is clean and not ghetto. Many college towns are run down and completty taken over by college kids but Fort Collins isn't. Old Town is great and really cute. The only thing that I don't really like is that I don't think there is much school pride, I miss Nebraska in that sence, everyone is a crazy Husker fan there and goes nuts for Husker games, wears Red every Saturday and everything else.

CSU is a larger school, but I think it is a good size. I spend a lot of time in the library or in the Lory Student Center. Fort Collins is a college town around the campus, but things are spread out so it can be hard to get from one place to another.

I like walking through campus on a hot day and looking at the beautiful things. You can see are school pride when you go to a home game and the fans are all decked out in green.
Gabriel
It's a large school and I don't get enough sleep.

The students and the location. The school is to large and isn't very personable.

So far, I've really enjoyed my time at CSU. Even though we have a very large campus, there are still plenty of opportunities to get personal with the staff and students. It's easy to get help when you need it and there are resources available for almost everything you could imagine. There are a wide variety of student organizations and everyone does a good job of making members feel welcome. It's easy to meet new friends and the atmosphere is generally pretty relaxed. Overall, CSU is an exciting and comfortable place to enojy your college experience.

Excellent school. Great setting. It's against a backdrop of the beautiful foothills, and there is so much to do here. It really is a college town.
Kristen
I think the best thing about CSU is its location. There is so much to do here and its not too far from Denver, the mountains, Estes Park, etc. There is a lot of school pride, especially when we are winning.

I would say most people i talk to out of colorado do not know very much about CSU. I love CSU because for the most part everyone is really laid back. I also like the campus becasue it is very open and has a great view of the mountains. For the most part the facilities are just okay but it seems like everything on campus is in the process of being updated. Fort Collins is the epitnome of a college town, most kids here are not used to seeing too many people over 26 or under 18 or over. i would say there is smoe friction between older fort colllins residents and college kids. The biggest controversy is the greek scene in paticular the frats giving a bad name to the greek system (parties, girls, booze, drugs etc). Another big deal is the student population, mostly the school newspaper constant bitching about school admins and spending. Im pround to go to csu but i think i just went to one football game because our football team is so terrible along with our other sports. any diversity on campus is mainly due to our athletic teams who are either going to the most raging parties or constatnly stoned off the best weed money can buy in fort collins.

The best thing about CSU is the atmosphere on campus. Many people see that CSU is a school of about 25,000 people and assume that the number of people would not be conducive to a very friendly atmosphere. However, at CSU, people are still polite and friendly even though you do not know them. There is just a fun "vibe" anytime on campus and there is always something going on. Whether you are walking through the plaza and there is some festival or simply through the student center and they are handing out free stuff.
Andrew
Everyone here is usually pretty nice, and everyone seems energetic and very in to recreational things.
David
To the best thing about CSU is the fact that it is a big school but really isn't compared to other schools, the campus is really convienient to get around I think compared to my last college which was in two different locations. I like the college of business it is very nice.
Jenna
I like the location of CSU. Fort collins is big enough that there is stuff to do, and it is close enough to Denver to enjoy some city life.

i've really enjoyed going to CSU so far. someone needs to do something about our power hungry athletic director, but other than that, i like most aspects about csu. if you could move the school to either the west coast or the east coast or bring an ocean to us, this would be a perfect place. one thing that i truly hate is all of the crap that liberals write in the collegian. i know that we all have the right to freedom of speech, but come on now...bashing our president and making all kinds of left wing comments or writing only left wing articles in the paper is pretty ridiculous! i fell like our school is being overrun by a bunch of liberal hippies that are trying to conform the whole school to think and believe what they think and believe. most days of the week, i just want to walk into the collegian editing room or building or wherever they meet and punch most of them in the face. i'm embarrassed to say that i go to CSU because of things that they've said in the collegian.
