I believe that CSU is just the perfect size and I think that CSU is also very well respected around Colorado. Right now I spend the majority of my time in the dorm, at the library or at my sorority house. One thing that i think CSU could improve on is atheletics ans school pride.

It is perfect. It has the small town feel, but is no where near a small town. There are so many new faces every day, and there is so much to do. But at the same time, it does not feel like a huge town, where you never see the same person twice.

Alright, here it goes, according to these suggested topics. The best thing about CSU is the people. There are so many awsome people here that I've rarely had bad experiences with anyone, good friend or aquaintance. If I could change one thing though, haha I'd give the Clark building a makeover since I'm in there ALL the time! As far as the size of CSU goes, for me it's perfect. We have what?...slightly over 25,000 people?. I like that, it seems like the perfect amount to always be able to find someone you know on campus, and yet not be trapped by seeing the same people all the time. Haha, the reaction I get when I go to CSU has nothing really to do with the school itself, seeing as I'm from Ohio most people are just like "what's so special about Colorado?"....I guess it's a testament to CSU though, that I care enough about this school to keep on going here, and love it here, despite the protests of my friends and my boyfriend back home. It seems to me that I spend most of my time on campus in the rec center. That's because I work there though so I don't know if that counts. During the day I probably spend most of my time in Clark, or other buildings where I have class, or the Lory Student Center where I seem to always find someone I know and can hang out with inbetween classes. The surrounding area around CSU really can be described as a "college town". There are so many students everywhere and campus is right in the middle of everything, all the hustle and bustly of Fort Collins. Again, I like it and I think it's perfect. I feel like Fort Collins IS CSU, but at the same time if you don't like what Fort Collins has to offer, you've got Greely, Boulder, and Denver fairly close. Haha the most recent controversy on campus was probably about how we sacked all our sports coaches after terrible seasons for football and basketball, or the whole "Taser this, Fuck Bush" article in the Collegian....as a student I, personally, think it was funny, but I can see why the article could garner anger from others. I think there is still a lot of school pride though. It'd be nice to win a few more sports games so that we all wouldn't be united under the joke of our teams and rather the success of our teams, but either way I still feel like the people here really wouldn't rather be anywhere else. There's always something interesting/good going on on campus always plenty of spirited people pulling it off. One experience I'll always remember? Oh man, there of course isn't one. It's everything. I had a great Dorm experience, I've gone to cool talks on campus, I've heard random people give their own "talks" in the plaza, I've seen people help each other, I've seen people get hurt, I guess It's all just one big experience and I hope I'll remember as much of it as I can! As far as complaints go, though, I guess since I know alot of people in the health and exercise science or sports med major who have to take a lot of science classes, I hear a lot of complaints from them about teachers they can't understand (due to english not being their first language) and how hard it is to schedule and get the classes they want because those and other science majors are so popular that the classes fill up fast.

I think this school is the perfect size. I especially like the wide open campus and all the grassy areas we have. I never feel like any place on campus is too crowded. But, I wish I would change the parking laws. It's ridiculous trying to find parking someday's and when people run late, they park somewhere they think is ok, until they get a ticket.

CSU is a very large school with a lot of great people that go to it. I believe some of the classes at this school are definitely too big, but that is the case for most large universities. I think we have a lot of opportunities here though, and our money seems to be spent pretty well. The biggest controversy ever was the **** Bush in our collegian. I don't think it was neccesary to do that, but I was never embarassed to be going to the same school as that. There is a decent amount of school pride, but if I was to change one thing it would be our athletics be better. A large school like this needs to have better athletics, believe it or not that is pretty important to incoming students. I almost did not come here because they weren't the best, but at the time I applied it was a lot better than now. I think it would really increase our school pride.

The best thing about CSU is the different degrees they offer the students! I would change how much tuition is for sure. I think campus is just right, and has the perfect amount of students. People usually just say oh nice whenever i tell them i go to csu. i spend most my time in my dorm or outside my dorm in the courtyard when on campus. it most def is a college town, which i think means most the population is students.

CSU kind of reminds me of high school all over again. I transferred here from CU Boulder and campus there is so much prettier and classrooms are much newer and cleaner. What really drives me nits at CSU is the amount of terrible teachers that I have gotten who all seem like they should never have been aloowed to teach in the first place. One of my teachers even quit mis semester...

Stephanie

The school is great and a lot of fun to be at. the student body is really nice and it is a fun place to learn and meet new people.

Vanessa

I am normally used to not being around a lot of people, so the school is a little big for me. However, I know that for being a University it is not too huge. I spend most of my time in classes, then I head home. I think that the CSU pride is strong. One of my complaints is the amount of parking available. I park in the Z parking lot and it is normally really hard to find even one spot where my classes are. Also, because of this reason I have even been late to a few classes.

I love the csu campus, but Iwould change the dorms. They are n ot very nice on the inside and look very out of place. It would look much better if all of the buildings were more uniformed. The police department concerning tickets is far too strict!!
