My classmates in my math classes are highly motivated and are always looking forward to talking about how math can be applied to the real world outside of class.

There is NO student that would feel out of place at Queens College. This school has the most diverse group of students that I could have ever imagined. Although some groups of people are not as accepting and welcoming to things that go against religious or personal beliefs, you will always know that there even more students who are just like you. Many of the students come from Queens, which itself is a very diverse borough. If you were to walk across QC campus for ten minutes you would see students of many different ethnicities, hear students speaking many different languages, and be amazed at how diverse the groups of friends are. There are clubs for every religious group and ethnic group, LGBT students, as well as students who are interested in politics, sports, fraternities/sororities, and every major/minor.

There is a variety of students at Queens College. The good thing about it is that everyone gets to learn about each others cultures. In most cases, different types of people interact. I am one of those people. In other cases, people tend to stay around the people they are most comfortable with. Same race, religion, interests. For the most part, every student is lower class. Many students talk about their jobs outside of campus and others seek to find jobs on campus due to their financial need.
