The best thing about Elon is that it's a gorgeous school. Also, it's relatively small, so classes are kept at around 30 students. It's definitely a college town. The neighboring town, Burlington, is home to just about every fast food joint in America. To get any semblance of culture, one must drive at least 30 minutes west to Greensboro.

The best thing about Elon is how beautiful the campus is and how friendly everyone is. I would change the greek houses because they are too small for how big greek life is at elon. When I tell people I go to Elon most people recognize the name and know how pretty it is. The reactions are almost always positive because it is getting to be a very competitive school. Elon is a college town. You have to drive to get to a lot of places, but not to far at all. You see Elon students everywhere. Elon residents generally like the students.

Elon is definitely pretty separate from the surrounding area. You can always tell a difference between Elon students and "townies"

Elon does have a sick campus. I think its the perfect size. Class sizes are pretty good for the most part. I spend most of my time on campus, there's not really anywhere else to go. Elon's administration I feel is not that helpful, unless your really out of the loop, most of them only know very basic things, and often have to call experts if you have a question. Elon doesn't have much school pride unless a particular is doing well, otherwise, the sporting events are not very full.

The best thing about Elon is that it's small enough that you can stand out, but big enough for you to have lots of options. I think it's a perfect size; everywhere you go you'll see someone you know, but you won't see everyone you know. Most people ask me where Elon is when I tell them that I go here, or they just ask me what it's like because they haven't heard of it. I spend most of my time in the Performing Arts building, my on-campus apartment, or my sorority house. The administration at Elon is excellent because they let us get to know them on a fairly personal level, and they show their support at all kinds of events. I would say there is a lot of school pride but for a wide variety of reasons, not necessarily all athletic supporters. There aren't actually a lot of student complaints related to the University itself, in my experience. An experience I will always remember is my audition for the Elon Music Department during my senior year of high school, in which I felt so welcome that I immediately wanted to attend this school.

The best thing about Elon is the people. Faculty and students are extremely friendly and are for the most part easily approachable. If I could change one thing I would bring more diversity to Elon amongst teachers and students. I think the size of Elon is just right..its perfect, not too big or too small. When I tell people I go to Elon, many have never heard of it. I spend most of my time in my dorm with friends. There is a lot of school pride at Elon...we have a slogan called "Ride the tide of the Phoenix PRIDE".

Elon has been the perfect size for me. It is small enough that really get individual attention from Professors (My research mentor called and woke me up the other day to ask me a question about our study), but it is big enough that there are so many resources out there. If you're looking for a school big on sports, I wouldn't come to Elon because are sports teams are not a huge highlight; however, a lot of students to get behind the teams and go out to watch football, basketball and baseball!
The best thing about Elon is the community feel. It has become my home away from home. You can't beat the beauty of the campus and the southern charm of the people!

The best thing about Elon is the close-knit community. No exaggeration, it is "a home away from home". It is the perfect size, around 5,000 students. Located in a cute, small town in North Carolina on one of the most beautiful campuses in the United States. Greek life is a big source of social life here. Good thing- frats and sororities for all types of people so able to find your niche if your into Greek Life. Doesn't have the best sports teams but fun to attend games. Always alot going on around campus.

Elon is an amazing school. It's gorgeous!! The course work is very rigorous! Personally, the school is just right. It's only about 4800 students, but doesn't feel too small. There isn't really much of a college town- Burlington is not that great. It's tough to find things to do off campus that don't include drinking. Elon's administration is very tough on drinking and following the rules.
