The school is too diverse to really stick a label on students, but the body can be separated by those involved in Greek life and those not (as in any other college or university).

FIU has a reputation for being a second-tier university, which it is not. It is Miami's research institution that offers a high degree of education, and a long list of graduates that are attending professional schooling, or have already graduated.
