Gonzaga University Top Questions

Is the stereotype of students at Gonzaga University accurate?

Blake

No.

Paige

Mostly, these are true. People tend to think conservatively until their second year of college, then there is a huge transformation of thought. The most prominent stereo-type which is true is the wealth of the student population. If you are from a middle-lower income family do not come here. Just trying to pay for Gonzaga alone will make you unhappy and take away from that "college experience".

Alex

Yes, all true.

Cassandra

No, they are not. Gonzaga does not have a large minority population, but there are students here from all types of backgrounds and having various life experiences. There are many students from out of state and even out of the region which helps the diversity. Gonzaga students are college students too, and they understand what that means.

I think I have met a lot of really cool, open minded people, but to be honest I have encountered more closed minded people than not. I was actually surprised at the number of people who really don't show a concern for other people or any of the Jesuit ideals. If you are super conservative you might like it here more, but I'm not so I find it kind of hypocritical and disappointing.
