I like to participate in the AOII philanthropy "Run for the Roses" every fall. It's a great traditions that supports a wonderful cause - and shows that Iowa State students and Ames residents can work together.

I am filling this out for the AOTT sorority at Iowa State University. Iowa State University is a terrific school and offers many opportunities for a wide variety of interests.
I highly recommend attending this school.

Submitted on behalf of Alpha Omicron Pi. I loved my experience at ISU and am a life alum member. I read every issue of the ISU alum magazine and am proud to be an alum. The experience at any university is what you make of it! ISU doesn't have the endowment like Harvard to carry it forward, but the network of students, faculty, and alums is strong and can aid you in your career and life goals. I entered ISU with academic scholarships and into the Freshman Honors Program. I could have selected many colleges to apply to but I visited ISU while in high school (The Road Less Traveled program) and didn't spend much time looking elsewhere. ISU was comfortable.

Alumni of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. As a former Run For The Roses Chair, I feel AOPi's philanthrophy really gets the student body and alumni involved in running for a good cause. And you get a breakfast and t-shirt just for registering!

I would just like to point out how amazing ISU is. Where else could I have been involved in so much and met so many amazing people and didnt hate it? I loved the Greek community there...it is so strong! My sorority, Alpha Omicron Pi, was amazing for my personal development. It allowed me to serve within my chapter and learn the rules of a meeting, how to organize huge events, and gave me the opportunity to serve on the governing council for all sororities. Some people might think "Animal House" when you say "Greek" but I think opportunities, people who care about you, and home environment. I wasnt big on the dorms so having a great community that I could get involved in was HUGE for me! I was able to help out the community and ISU while in AOII...I really couldnt have asked for a better experience!
