Iowa State University Top Questions

Iowa State University is unique compared to other schools because it is a public college but maintains high standards. It is different than the other schools I considered because it is a 4-year school. The other colleges I was considering were 2-year. I chose Iowa State because I am from Iowa and I wanted to remain close to home. At Iowa State I can get a city life experience while still remaining in a rural community.

What's unique, ISU is one of most beautiful campuses in the country. There are over 200 clubs and many ways to get involved and meet friends. Another unique traditional is The Clock Tower, behind it is Tin-Shi Tam, and Thursdays plays song requests. An awesome unique teaching syle is from one of my favorite teachers, Professsor Monic Behnken. In one class when we do papers, she grades harder than the tests for us improve our writing,develope,critical thinking, and more useful skills & information to help us get a job with the class material. Everything is wonderful here.

What's unique is the size and beauty of the campus.

My school has a small town feel but the university is far from being small.

Iowa State is a beautiful campus and has such welcoming atmosphere to it. The campus is not spreach out and even though it is a school of 27,000 I still feel like I know just about everyone at this campus. Classes are really focused on the major and help the student discover what they want to do for a career. The professors here are very educated in their field.

Iowa State has an extremely unique campus. Rated as one of the prettiest campuses in the nation, students get to enjoy beautiful horticulture year-round. Unlike many other universities that I considered, Iowa State's campus is compacted and easily accessible. The entire campus is within walking distance, however there is also a busing system which takes students wherever they please.

Iowa State is a big school with a small school feeling and I love that. It's easily the best campus. It's easy to find things and it's beautiful. Also the instructors are amazing. They are friendly and actually care how we all do no matter how big the class.

What's unique about this school compared to other schools i looked at is the size, this school is much larger than most others that i looked at.

peaceful. quiet college town

Iowa State University was unique to me because I really liked their education program here. They have labs that young children are in that you can observe. I felt like it was the better choice. I also got to take classes this year that had to do with my major and not just classes that were for general education. I also thought my college was unique because of how spread out the campus is and how nice all of the buildings are. I just really enjoy going here.

The campus is beautiful and it is easy to get to where you need to go. For example, all of my engineering classes are in the same part of campus. We also have a lot of opportunities for students to get involved in something they're interested in. While education is an emphasis, at Iowa State, you are allowed to enjoy college life to the fullest.

This is an amazing place with more options than you could try in a lifetime.

The variety! Course choices, clubs/organizations, intramural sports- everything on campus has way more choices than anyone could ever cover by themselves. Students are very active, involved and social, thanks to far more choices than most schools offer.

ISU is a very diverse college. It has the perfect size of a college I wanted to attend. The campus is big enough to support the number of students but small enough that walks from class to class are reasonable. Once you get into your major/ field of study the environment is more welcoming. You get to know most the people in your department and then there is more of a sense of belonging.

The experience in the professors and the research projects which provide opportunities for students to gain experience.

The strong intermural program is unique to ISU there is some sort of event to participate in almost every week.

Iowa State University is one of the top colleges in the nation! The professors take the time to get to know their students and are always available to help students who ask. Iowa State is a large university, but it still has the feel of a small, close-knit family. The campus has an overall friendly, calming, nature-filled, and gorgeous appeal to it. The students who attend Iowa State are some of the best in the nation and there are countless ways to get involved. (Things that make Iowa State awesome: Dance Marathon, good food, BINGO, and endless opportunities!)

I think my school is unique because there are so many clubs and organizations that expand the culture on campus. My school has organizations for all different cultures, activities, religion, sexual orientation, and more. I don't think there are many other schools that are so open about students' differences.

It's a large campus that allows students to get to know other students very closely. There's so many majors and colleges within the university that really allow for any choice of a major. Professors are really willing to work with students even though we're on a very large campus. It's a central campus where all bulidings are in one area, but a very gorgeous campus in all seasons.

ISU has lots of open land for ISU students to take advantage of. Even though we are a rather large university, it seems that you are still "home in teh country" when on campus. ISU is also a very good school for students who want to get involved because the faculty and staff truly care about student organizations.
