Nathan
The most frustrating thing is doing math homework online.
Alyson
A lot of the dorms don't have air conditioning.
Elizabeth
The most frustrating thing about this school is the internet homework postings. Lately, we've been having quite a few issues with assignments and quizzes not showing up. The professors have been more than accomadating with these issues and they are working on getting them fixed by next semester.

Iowa State University's enrollment is predominately White/Caucasian. As a student who welcomes diversity and takes joy in the collaboration of different cultures, it can be very limiting to have classes with only white Midwestern students like yourself.
Samantha
The most frustrating thing about my school is the class sizes. I hate that I can never find a seat in my lecture halls.
Ryan
The parking division.
Shawn
So far I have not attended any classes, but the biggest issue so far is the lack of a peer mentor to get started as there is a lot of differences between this school and being at home or at a smaller school.
Basil
During orientation you had to ask the right question to the right person. If you didn't then you would never get an important question answered and you would be left lost.
Nicole
Housing and financial aid. I currently have a GPA at college of 3.90 and receive barely any financial aid from college. My parents income combined is under $65,000. However, I do not qualify for any financial aid. I would like to attend grad school for doctorial degree but can't afford to take out more student loans.
Brady
It's a big school, so occasionally it can be easy to feel more like a statistic than an individual.
Dillon
The campus is rather large, so if you plan on walking to class, you have to leave extra early. Also, the dorm rooms are extremely overpriced. I am living in a university apartment now, and I have 5 times the space for $400 less per year than the dorm.
Calie
The most frustrating thing about Iowa State is trying to get the exact classes you need at the correct time.
Brianna
The most frustrating thing about ISU is probably that I don't feel connected to it at all. I live off campus, so it's much harder to connect, to get involved. It's hard to get to office hours, to club activities, to study areas.
Hannah
The most frustrating thing I have encountered at Iowa State Univerisity is working with the advisors. I have attended ISU for 3 years and I have had 4 advisors. One of my advisors my first year had me sign up for a math class, I ended up doing very poorly in it only to find out I did not need to take that class.
Jennifer
The most frustrating thing about Iowa State for me would probably be the size of the campus. It made me anxious when I had 10 minutes to get across campus to my next class sometimes. I was never late, but I walked fast.
Caitlin
Even though Chicago is called "The Windy City", Iowa State is much more windy and VERY cold in the winter. Walking from class to class is frustrating in the winter. You have to worry about whether you are dressed right, if you will fall on the ice, etc.
Hannah
The most frustrating thing is some of the professors who are so bad you essentially have to teach yourself everything and whose tests are badly written. These classes are artificially hard and very frustrating.
Kelsey
The most frustrating thing about my school would be how classes are so far apart and you have little time to reach your destination. With the large amount of students it is hard to make your way through them all to get where your going at a fast pace.
Amanda
Housing! It's all expensive whether you're on campus or off. And the on-campus housing has no services to set you up with a roommate you'll get along with, they leave you to fend for yourself. So if you don't already know someone you can live with, you're out of luck.
