If you are looking for a small campus and knowing variety of people in different majors, I would not recommend Kent State because, as a Fashion Design/Fashion Merchandising student, you mostly only see the others students in the fashion program. Also the campus is very large and there is a large amount of people on campus on a daily basis.

I don't think there is a particular kind of person that should not attend this school. Whether you're an honors student or the typical student, an athlete or walking-is-my-excercise kind of person, a theater major or a mathematics major or undecided, this is the kind of school where everyone can find a place they belong. While I imagine an out of state student might question whether to attend a state school, I think even they can find their place. This school easily becomes home.

As with all colleges/universities; any person who is not committed to their own betterment should not attend. College is a chance to make yourself better, learn skills and tools in order to succeed in life, and focus on your interests.

Someone who would not take college seriously should not attend this school.

If you want a very eventful and big campus do not attend Kent. Also, if you are looking for a big downtown area, or busy city area near campus, this is not the place.

A person that lies night life or big cities should not attend this school. Kent is not a city life town and I would not attend this college if you like the things urban settings have to offer. But, other than that Kent is a great school.

A person who does not have a plan for their future, is not willing to make sacrafices, or able to dedicate themselves to their education, should not apply to Kent State University.

The time of person that shouldn't attend this school would be unmotivated students. People are required to do things for themselves here and if you are used to people doing things for you then it would not work out for you.

A type of person who should not go to Kent State is a person who has no intension on learning anything at Kent.

Anyone who wants to experience a larger school with a lot of diversity and culture. It has good academics and good socialization.

Someone who is not self-directed, motivated, and willing to work hard should not attend the school.

Someone should not attend if they are shy or have trouble fitting in. In this school, you have to find your own place.

Kent State University is really for anybody looking to attend a good 4 year university! They offer some great programs and are affordable for anyone, they have several branches as well!

I believe this school pushes you to do the best you can. The classes are difficult but only because they want you to try your best and strive for excellence. I do not think someone should attend this school that is not serious about their future. Someone who is going to goof around and is not determined to graduate on time and have a successful career should not enroll in this school. I think this is one of the best universities to attend so if someone is going to enroll at kent they need to be determined to be succesful.

someone who plans on living on campus and may not be able to financially offord a private school. anyone can fit in if they want to class times and sizes are flexible and it's easy to have a fun social life while juggling the stresses of college.

I am new to this school so I don't know exactly what the pros and cons are of the school. But if you like smaller schools it's probably not the school for you.

Someone who has no focus or ambition (or does not want a Liberal Arts Education) because you have to have good time management, organizational, and study skills to succeed here, especially when you get into your major classes. However, there are teachers, students, and other staff that can help students develop these skills. Conversely, new students need learn how to develop their own goals and strategies, as well as self-motivation and self-efficacy in order to become self-sufficient, aware, and responsible citizens. Anyone can learn, but you have to have the focus and desire to do so.

I actually think this school is perfect for everyone. It has a little but if something for everyone that comes! I love KSU and would suggest it to anybody.

Anyone should attened Kent state, I don't think a school should turn a student away because that means they are making some what of an effort towards school and that should be rewarded.

In my opinion, anyone who isn't willing to work, and students who just wants to party. For me, some courses that I took got a bit challenging for me but I pulled through because I want to succed. If you know your not studious or if you didn't like school before college i wouldn't choose Kent State as the place you will be for the next 4+ years in your life. Also, if you are looking for small class room sizes then maybe Kent State shouldn't be your choice in a college.
