Club sports rock! We have over 20 and they range from soccer and rugby to judo and volleyball...try one out. and if not, def get some intermural experience...more laid back but still so so much fun. doors open in dorms...not so much. athletic events are key! speakers...not so much. A small minority will always be there, but nothing to draw large crowds for the most part. Broad spectrum again with party scene...freshmen and seniors more so than others, but ranges from everynight to none! Frats/Sororities are very precent on campus, but not in the majority and I have never regretted my decision not to rush.

I am involved in a cultural organization. Talking about my country an making it known is important to me. It also makes it more bearable. We also try to keep our holidays and introduce people to our culture. But... I also like to know more about other countries too, including US. Therefore... anything that is cultural is appealing to me. I do not care about fraternities and sororities. Week-ends... for me is never about drinking. It's about watching a good movie at home, maybe with some friends. Reading a good book and... yes, shopping!

The Greek community is very popular on campus. There are clubs for every curriculum at this campus. There are also several special interest groups. Athletics are extrememly popular on LSU's campus. I am involved with Alpha Gamma Rho Agricultural Fraternity. Not many dorm students leave their dorms open. Athletic events are a number one attraction. Guest speakers and theatre are moderately attended however just a portion of the crowd seen at athletic events. People do date however it is not as popular as it once was. Many students like the ability to hook up with whom they wish and not have to worry about an angry boyfriend or girlfriend. I met my closest friends in class or at the fraternity. If I am up 2am Tuesday I am either studying or doing something with my fraternity brothers. Football tailgating is a tradition that occurs nearly every weekend in the fall. People party at least 2 to 3 times a week. Fraternities and Sororities are a huge part of the culture here at LSU. I went fishing. We can go to the river. Baton Rouge has many attractions including resturants, hotels, and thriving night life.

I am a member of Delta Zeta and I have really enjoyed getting to know the girls. It has given me a lot of oppurtunites to get involved. If I'm awake at 2 AM on a Tuesday I'm probably playing Guitar Hero or Mariokart, studying, or sharing a drink with a friend. Last weekend I went to a crawfish boil, worked an Elementary school Fieldday, attended church and helped with the Miss LSU pageant.

I already mentioned the clubs I am most active in, but I love to go to LSU's plays whenever possible. Football is of course the most popular. I enjoy women's basketball games but rarely attend the men's. I would like to go to baseball, softball, track & field, and swimming events, but I do not have enough time. There is not really a dating scene, in my opinion. I find that being involved with groups or getting to know classmates does lead to dates. Even for homosexuals, it is not difficult to find a date. You just have to be willing to invest time in other people and see who finds you interesting. Most of my close friends knew me before college, but I have made some good friends through classes and events at school. If I am awake at 2am on Tuesday, I am probably not doing homework. I may be driving home from watching a band play at a bar. I may be hanging out at my apartment watching TV. I may be spending time with a special person. I may be surfing the Internet. The Cinema Club hosts the Outfest Film Festival every spring. A lot of people party very often. I see frat boys and sorority girls on campus. A lot of them wear the same type of clothing. Some of them are very intelligent and studious, but a lot of them like to party...I do not think I would call the institutions "important." I know that lesbians in LSU's sororities are not very out and proud. The same goes for gay frat boys, though I know a few who have served as presidents. They were closeted of course. Last weekend I traveled to coastal Louisiana to do research on a story I am writing. It was fun. Drinking is a choice, though it is hard to resist peer pressure. One can go to the movies, rent a movie, date someone and not drink, spend time with friends, go to a music club, go to any bar to socialize and not drink, record music with a band, write the great American novel...anything.

Events are constantly being created and promoted by various organizations on campus. Attend, most are really fun! There is regular attendance at all sporting events. We have a really spirited campus. I've been a reporter on Tiger TV and LOVED it. If you're at all interested in television, do it. No matter what your major, get involved in something. You'll need it for building a resume. We have a very prominent Greek population here.. Make sure you know yourself before you get involved or you'll morph into just another frat/sorority kid. Break the mold!

The most fun thing to do is definitely tailgate and attend the football games. I guess if I'm awake on a Tuesday at 2 am, I'm probably getting a ride home from the bar (TigerBar Tuesdays). Students at LSU are basically constant partiers, there is no night off-limits. Drinking Sundays are usually in Port Allen across the bridge, but since the Blue Laws changed, at least we can buy liquor, beer, and wine on Sundays. Greek life is prominent at certain bars, but there isn't a distinct segregations. Greeks and nongreeks associate without problem.

The most popular teams are Baseball and Softball. I am not involved in a group. I dont live in a dorm and have never been to one. Athletic events and guest speakers are common at LSUE. The dating scene is very noticeable, alot of people are paired up. My roommate actually i met at LSUE. I would probably be sleep walking... A tradition that happens every year is the LSUE Family Day. People party ALOT at our college. Fraternities/Sororities are not that big at LSUE. Last weekend, i wanted to go out but i had alot of homework, I couldnt find anyone to go with so i took it as a sign that i had to stay home and do homework. I can go out and not drink, it is possible, haha. Off campus, i either spend time with my boyfriend, if he is home, or work.

There are lots of Greeks and there are also lots of other groups students can join. Athletic events are huge, especially football games. If your awake at 2am you're probably just leaving a bar in Tigerland. People party pretty heavily but there are a few exceptions. Bowling or putt putt

At LSU all the students love football, even if you think you don't like it you will by the end of the fall. The greek community is also very big at LSU. Its the quickest way to get involved at LSU. I'm a member of a greek organization and I have loved being involved this way. I came to LSU without knowing anyone in the whole state, but after I joined my sorority I had 200 people that wanted to be my friends. For people not interested in greek life their are many clubs and intermural teams that they can join on campus. The campus has many fun events they hold every year that students can attend. My favorite is snowing in the south in the fall. LSU ships in snow for the students to play in on campus. Lots of people attend this event because it never snows in Louisiana. Baton Rouge also has many yearly events that are fun to attend. At Thanksgiving downtown becomes a winter wonderland with santa, shopping, parades and lots more. Also on a typical night their are movie theaters, tons of places to eat, ice skating and shopping in Baton Rouge.

There is nothing better than spending the day tailgating with 100,000 of your closest friends, followed by a Saturday night in Death Valley for a Tiger football game. This is by far the biggest celebrated event. Athletic events are highly attended. I have rarely attended any guest speakers or theater events, unless they were class oriented. LSU has many, many pretty girls. The SEC has the prettiest girls in the country, and were no different. My closest friends have all come from the Greek community. LSU has many bars to attend. It lacks true dance clubs, but everyone loves to dance in the bars. Students party a lot. Nearly every night you can find something to do. Although it sounds like too much, you appreciate it when you find yourself on a random Monday night with nothing to do the next day. The Greek community is highly populated. With, I think, 17 fraternities and 10 sororities, the Greek community is very evident on campus. It is a great way to meet people and have a good time. But unfortunately, conformity is pretty much demanded.

THE MOST POPULAR ORGANIZATIONS ON CAMPUS IS THE MULTICULURAL CENTER. I AM NOT INVOLVED IN ANY GROUPS ON CAMPUS. THE FOOTBALL EVENTS ARE THE MOST POPULAR ATHLETIC EVENTS ON CAMPUS. THERE ARE ALOT OF GUEST SPEAKERS THAT COME TO LSU. THEY MOST SPEAK IN THE THEATER OR BALLROOM. THERE IS ALOT OF STUDENTS DATING EACH OTHER ON CAMPUS. I MET MY CLOSEST FRIEND OFF OF CAMPUS. I WILL GO BACK TO SLEEP IF I WAKE UP AT 2AM BECAUSE I HAVE TO GET UP EARLY EVERYDAY. THE TRADITIONS AT LSU IS FALL FEST. PEOPLE PARTY ALL THE TIME AT LSU. I WENT OUT LAST WEEKEND WITH SOME FRIENDS. YOU CAN GO BOWLING OR GO TO THE MOVIES WITH YOUR FRIENDS. I STUDY AND WORK OFF OF CAMPUS.

It is hard to say what is the most popular organization on campus because there are so many that appeal to many different types of students. There are a good number of residents that leave their door open to talk to people walking down the hall. Athletics is enormously popular. The dating scene is ok, but there is not a lot of places to be greatly romantic here on campus. I meet my closes friends by living in the halls. If I am up at 2 I am either studying or hanging out with friends. People tend to party mostly on the weekends just because they want to unwind from the week. Frats and sororities are somewhat popular on campus but there isn't a strong greek life as far as I can see it. It mostly feels like just a club house for guys and girls to hang out at. There is plenty of movie theaters and a few restaurants but not a whole heck of a lot besides that. I mostly go hang out with friends off campus.
