It can better for low income students , there not a lot campus life, I commute and the travels be pretty hard to reach in time, the tuition is pretty higher then what they tell you when you start, there isn’t much , sports or clubs on all campuses, you hav to pay out polecat for food on campus if you commute.

Like many places across the country, the college is struggling to retain staff. This has greatly effected my education and I would not recommend any start a nursing program here until things settle down. Communication about classes, exams, course content and expectations, clinical experiences are all lacking. There is a mixture of on-campus and online courses, which makes the program accessible. I can comfortably live about 30 minutes away because I do not need to commute to class every day.
I have heard really good things about this college in the past, that is one reason why I am enrolled currently. However, save your money and wait until they get a grip on faculty and staff OR find another program.

Mercy college is the perfect specific healthcare undergraduate school in Iowa. They prioritize students learning and have the best professors to learn from. The only things I wish they had were sports and a cafeteria. I've been at Mercy for 2 years and their programs are intellectual with a wide range of different education options.

My experience so far at MCHS is superb! I transferred 2 years worth of credits into my DMS program and had little to no hassles at all. Professors and staff were always very helpful and knowledgeable and I will forever remember all of the positive experiences I had with each of my professors. I personally love the challenge and the fact that the curriculum is rigorous to prepare me for my career in healthcare. If it were easy, the value of the education would be severely diminished.

You have to decide where to pursue your goals. It’s a big decision, and it can be hard to find quality and pertinent information to help you on your way. For this reason, Mercy provides the most current research and reviews on the best colleges and online programs. Mercy's goal is to foster dialogue between the most current educational data, the analysis of educational leaders, and you. For them, it’s a job well done for every student that we can help achieve their goals.

Just there for the program, teachers need help in covering the materials.

i think that would be a great school to attend if you are interested in the medical field specifically without all of the fraternities and sports. But the teachers seem very nice and all of the staff are extremely helpful and are always there to answer your questions.

Mercy college is the cheapest school out of all the private colleges in New York so finances is much of a problem. Financial aid is great at covering most of your education. Your only required payment would be for housing which is paid every semester with your meal plan. Now with the meals they aren't so bad. just as any college you would expect to go to the bathroom more often than usual to prevent "Freshman Fifteen". THAT IS NO MYTH! The greatest part about eating your pain away is being able to go to the gym very early in the morning or even take a jog following a safe trail on a nice day. The neighborhood is great and the city is pretty close. I can talk about this school forever. This is a college you can call home. Welcoming all of family and friends to enjoy it with you also.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Mercy College of Health Sciences is 100%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Despite logistic and scientific limitation of time travel, given the opportunity to scare the living daylights out of my eighteen year old self, my approach would be fairly simple: grab the shoulders of my gothic, red headed, pierced 18 year old self, shaking them vigorously whilst yelling, "Go to college! Seriously! Just go! Find a way to make it work! Because until you are 24, it is free due to low parental income and FAFSA! And future you failed to jump on that free pass, and now faces $90,000 in tuition over the next 6 years! Go to school now, and when you are me, you will be a physical therapist and not have $90,000 of student loans! And although the mental and emotion impact of this encounter may be out of my/our range of expertise, I would be able to rehabilitate any spine, neck or shoulder trauma as a result of this! At this point I'd imagine some sort of pre-set time limit would be reached, and I would be transported back to the present, leaving a bewildered, traumatized former me to freak out briefly, smoke a cigarette, then, hopefully, go register for classes.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
It's a little more expensive than I had hoped for when I decided to quit my job and go back to school. My two choices were the local community college (DMACC) or Mercy College of Health Sciences, and I chose Mercy despite the fact that it costs four times as much as the community college.
