Merrimack College is an okay school. There isn’t a lot of academic support and it’s difficult to get involved in certain activities. There aren’t many options for classes based on your major. I would say that the time spent at college so far has not been the best experience as a current student.

Overall, I have truly enjoyed my experience her so far. The campus is really nice and I would say 90% of my professors have been really great at teaching course material. They are really helpful when trying to secure at least one internship during your time there and there are a lot of opportunities to work on developing yourself professionally to prepare you for after graduation. They also offer a masters program which if you decide to apply to after graduation, you receive a significant reduction in your tuition cost.

Merrimack is a great, small school. I love how enclosed the campus is, which makes it safe and has a "home" feeling. There is always something to do for every population or students, whether it be the on campus bar for those 21+, bingo, sporting events, etc. It is a very pretty school as well that is continuing to expand.

I love the school and the campus. I struggled in my first semester getting acclimated, but I am happy to have stuck it out. They have a great resources available on campus to help guide you in the direction you need, especially in deciding a Major.

I think that Merrimack College is a great school if you are looking for somewhere that is a small school. Everybody knows everyone and the community there is really nice to have. I have no met a single faculty member that is not willing to help you be the best student that you can be. One of my favorite things about the campus is the academic success center. This is a service offered by the college to help students handle their work load and get organized Everyone there is super friendly! Club sports are a huge thing at our school and are so much fun.

As I had visited the college more, I loved it more and more and could not be happier with the decision I made to be a student here. The environment is very welcoming and comfortable, food is great, and faculty is very kind and can answer any questions I had.

School and academics are OK...the people are what can make it a not-so-great experience. Yes, it’s respected in the area and you can get a good job coming out of here. Plus, if you are like me, and get a scholarship to go here— it beats going to a $70,000 private school from a financial perspective. The issue is socially the school is extremely cliquey and some of the students are frankly not very motivated. A lot of emotionally immature individuals caught up in similar drama you would see in high school. Lots of ppl transfer out...

If you are female Asian student, please don't study in Merrimack College. Merrimack College has a few international students. Some unethical and unrespecful male Asian students harass Asian female students. They are very lonely in the school. They never harass American female students. They focus on harassing Asian female students even if the school comes out and stop their behavior.

I have taken part in all Merrimack College has to offer. I am an third year honor student in Exercise Science. Academically I have been on Deans list and have been a member of student government and class Vice President. Intermural sports and radio hosting have given me the opportunities to be socially involved. I love this school and campus life. Holding a job as area building manager as well as living on campus has allowed me to see how Merrimack operates behind the scenes. I look forward to the remaining time I have here at Merrimack and to continuing my education as a Physicians Assistant.

Merrimack College is an upcoming, private university that I can forecast will continue to reach higher standards for its students. As of right now, the college has extremely underdeveloped environmental sustainability goals compared to other schools and national standards, and there is limited food options and housing on campus. Merrimack has plenty of room for improvement before they are truly competitive with other surrounding schools.
The fall 2020 acceptance rate for Merrimack College is 81%. That means, out of _____ applications received in 2020, _____ students were offered admission.
What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
My college expierence has made me a better person overall. When I left highschool, I had no idea what I even wanted to do with my life and at the end of the summer, I chose to attend Middlesex Community College. That was the best decision of my life, because it opened up my eyes to a new type of education. I took several classes in different majors and finally found my niche in Communications. It took me an extra year to graduate with my associates, but along the way I made a ton of friends and got to participate in several school activities. I was never like that in highschool. I was always the person who hated school, and wasn't involved. I thank Middlesex for allowing me to continue my education and help me appreciate the value of it. I now attend Merrimack College in North Andover, and I am still getting used to it. Its hard going from a city campus to one that is set in the middle of a town, but I make do. I have joined a sorority and I am looking to join the Spanish club. I want to be extraoridinary.
Describe how your school looks to someone who's never seen it.
We are a small catholic college that prides itself with small class sizes and quality education. All staff are there to help you succeed, not only during your time at Merrimack, but in your life beyond it as well. Everyone is welcoming and friendly and wants to see you achieve your goals.
What do you consider the worst thing about your school? Why?
In my opinion, I believe the "worst thing" about my school is our budget when it comes to outside activites. If Merrimack wanted to have a big concert, it could take a long for all of us to enjoy a huge concert featuring a big artist just because we don't have a huge budget in our club/organization committee.
What kind of person should not attend this school?
THe kind of person that is looking for a small religious school enviroment. If your not looking for large classes then Merrimack is your school. Everyone is friendly, and the professors are awesome. You will always have lasting friends:)
The type of person that should attend this school, is one that likes to be in rural areas. There's really not much going on and everything is all the same. So a person that does not like change would be a perfect fit for this school.
I love Merrimack. There is so much to enjoy. The campus is beautiful, the teachers (for the most part) are fair and require hard work and dedication. The students enrolled are proud to be so. The school itself is relatively small, which results in smaller class sizes. The proximity to my home seals the deal.
Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
Merrimack College is a Catholic school which I find unique becuase they require the students to take two religion courses during their time at Merrimack. I think that by choosing from a variety of religion courses to take and taking those classes truly shows a new and different side to viewing life for the student. Merrimack also allows students to subsitute a class with an internship which is unique because not only is it accredited but it allows the student to further learn and explore a potential career of their choice.
What do you brag about most when you tell your friends about your school?
I by far cannot begin to mention all of the amazing and unforgettable friends I have made at school. Most of my friends only have three or four close friends where as I have a whole group. At Merrimack College, it is easy to find like-minded individuals and the friendships you make here are worth every penny you spend to attend this college.
Wonderful school, excellent faculty but my parent can not pay all the tuition with all the merit scholarship , financial aid award and the loans I still have to pay over thirty thousand per year ,am look for help to be able to complete my electric eng. course thanks
All students must apply yearly for financial aid. This process starts with the FAFSA.
Though financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible. For the upcoming school year, you can apply as early as October 1 for the FAFSA. Additional school aid will be dependent on the FAFSA results.
100% of students attending Merrimack College receive some sort of financial aid.
