I felt as if I was being taken advantage of. I went to this school assuming I would be prepared to seek a license. I asked numerous times (in writing), to which I was told by now a former advisor, "oh no, you're fine with the program you're in". My success team had all but moved on to another job or something, I couldn't contact anyone other than my advisor. From start to finish, I expressed my desire to become a therapist but was placed in the general psychology Master's program. I was very excited about going back to school and very enthusiastic about this new journey. I overlooked obvious red flags here.
Along the way through, I had a feeling I was missing something. I found out my state requires a degree in counseling, which I asked about changing a few more times and received no reply. I was an online student and was treated as such. My grades were good and ended with a 3.9, I didn't meet or see any of my professors at my graduation as we were rushed down the stage (Class of 2022) so maybe I'm bitter.
The fact that a well known repeated plagiarizer graduated with our class should say a lot as well.

I am a transfer student at NLU and ever since I started my classes in this school, I become very involved in all the student activities. I enjoy walking into class knowing that my professors are knowledge and understanding in the material they are teaching. I don't regret transferring here at NLU because ever since I walked into those doors, I knew I was in a place where I belonged and always felt welcomed. I would highly recommended students to apply and be part of this school!

National Louis University is an excellent school to attend. The professors care about the students, and the work challenges the students. I am proud to be a National Louis student. The school strive to provide students with the best education possible, classes are small so that the student can get more help.

National Louis University is a great school. I have exceeded all of my expectations as a student and I have done extremely well due to the support of my fellow students as well as my instructors. Every student is welcomed and there's a certain sense of belonging at NLU. I made a great decision when I decided to apply to NLU.

National Louis is a good school, but it would be better if they had better sports. Also if they had more things to offer it would be better. When I took a tour of the school they had great students and they were really nice. I probably would like to go to National Louis if they had my major in marine biology.

I love it. When I got the chance to visit it a couple months back I was blown away by the sheer amount of people who are involved in extracurricular activities and outside clubs. The professors are always available and outgoing. They never make you feel out of place.

Its a good school, but it has its flaws. Some of the schools flaws is some of the students just cause to much problems which brings a bad reputation. Over all that the school is good. All my comrades always push each other so that no one stays behind and get through the year no matter what happens.

NLU has a great team of admissions counselors, financial aid staff, advisors and faculty. I had a lot of angst, transferring at the beginning of the year. They jumped to my aid and helped me through. I have only been here for five months, but I feel at home!

I had one class that was truly life-changing. However, I had others which were a waste of time. I think that the academics were not very rigorous. Some of the online courses I took were very well constructed, had great media and excellent class discussions. I had one where no student interacted, the teacher never graded any work, and I didn't learn anything. I think it is a mixed bag. If you are looking for an easy degree this might be perfect. If you are looking to learn I would stay away.
I also was very upset that I started an online degree and they changed it to one which was blended. I did not have time or flexibility for a blended program. My credits were not transferable. Beware.

What should every freshman at your school know before they start?
Be as academically prepared as possible. Take general classes while researching some career fields to prevent taking unnecssary classes. Be true to yourself, this is not high school there are all kinds of people at college don't pigeon hole yourself to one group of people. Get out and get involved; it helps you meet people and discover what you are about and what you like . Be open to something different than what have previously exposed yourself to. Have fun but don't compromise your values or your true self. Before you do something suggestive ask yourself "will I be okay with this tomorrow?".

Here's your chance: Say anything about your college!
National Louis University offered a Bachelor's program in my area that provided a general degree that could be used for many different areas. I really liked the idea of cohorts and that you have the same individuals through out your college experience.
What I like best about National Louis University was that I had the same classmates through out the cohort. We really got to know one another and provided each other with support. I still talk to some of my classmates now. The Professors were also willing to help when needed and very open minded. We would explore both sides of an arguement as well as the grey areas in-between.
My classmates were very mature and opened when it came to group projects. They were also very resourceful due to certains fields of employemtn. I apprecitaed their experiences and responce to certain sistuations that presented themselves while in class. I was fortunate to be in a cohort during my 12 months and we became very close. There are some classmates that I stay in contact with and with share different resoucrs to help our clients.
I believe that my school is best known for producing good teachers and good counselors. They have an excellent teachers program and an excellent counseling program as well. They also have a way with helping you learn how to do research appropriately.
