Purdue University-Main Campus Top Questions

What do you consider the worst thing about Purdue University-Main Campus? Why?

Tracy

There are some buildings that are just too far of a walk depending on where you live. Also, the greek life seems to get alot more respect than the G.D.I. people which I don't find fair because I would love to be in the greek life but I don't have the money for it. I am also an out of state student so I pay out of state fees. I am very much in debt to this school with the tuition and I am scared it'll take me too long to pay back.

Brian

That the professors rely on TA's who cant speak english very well too much, as well as bussing schedule , and parking spaces for students.

Susanne

The worst thing about Purdue would have to be that it is in the middle of Indiana and not in a very big city. Outside of campus, there isn't a whole lot of activities close by for students to do for fun. Also the fact that Purdue is in Indiana contributes o the very cold winters in which we students have to battrle as we walk to all of our classes each day.

Aaron

The availability of public transportation during the winter months.

Registration time for classes is always a disaster. I think they need to fix the system and make it easier for students to register for the classes they need.

Patricia

The general education "weed out" classes. The teachers seem to purposely try and fail students and a lot seem to be only concerned with his/her research instead of teaching.

Ann

The worst thing about this school is that there are select classes that are extremely hard (harder than at other colleges). It is also hard to get help in those classes. Also a lot of the time the professors don't speak English very well, which makes it hard to understand them and hinders the learning experience.

Brittany

It's very conservative.

Amaris

The worst thing about my school is the amount of financial aid they offer. It is a great school, but if no one has the money to attend then the quality of education means nothing. Personally, I struggle EVERY semester to be able to attend Purdue. It doesn't look like I'll be winning that battle this semester as I do not have ANY money to attend.
