quinnipiac is pretty homogeneous. there are a mix of christians and jewish people here. people usually get dressed for class. i rarely see sweatpants. most of the students are from new jersey and new york. most everyone is incredibly rich.

little diversity, some people are racist, but major attitude is not, blacks would prob feel a little outta place, i kid around that our entire diversity is the basketball team, most stundent confirm to common trends, abercrombie, hollister, bannana repub, old navy, american eagle, amer apparell, juicy, people still wear other stors though like stuff from marshall n target, but most of it looks the same few people's clothing stands out as unique or thrifty, most student, allmost all are from this area, conn, ny, nj, mass, then maine, new hamp, vermont, rhode i, penn, prob like 5{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} form other areas, there is a pretty good diversiyt of financial backrounds, no one is like in the poor class i dont think but there is a good range from low middle to high class here, alot of kids parents pay for their ed but alot alos take our loans, scholarships, and strugle to work as well, many kids here are fortunate but i think there are much less who are spoiled brats, students here are far from politically aware, theres prob a good mix of dem vs. repub, yeah well alot of people here are in the same group of majors so we get a good idea of what our salary will be, but not that many people actaulyl talk about how much there gonna make, we all have our hopes

QU is probably one of the least diverse schools I've seen, and that's coming from someone who lived their whole life in Vermont. I have actually been told that one wouldn't expect someone like me to attend this school because I don't come from money, brand names mean nothing to me, and I have to make my own money if I want something, it doesn't come from my parents. The four tables in the dining room would be made of rich girls, sports teams, sorority/fraternity members, and then the small group of diversity. Most students wear Ugg, North Face, A&F, and other brand names, and this isn't stereotype, it's fact.

You get a number of students who get dressed for class, but there are also many that go to class in sweatpants and sweatshirts. Different types of students definitely interact, i don't see much of a separation between students of different races or religious backgrounds. It is prevalent that most students come from a wealthy background.

The student population isn't as diverse as it may apear to be on our website, althoguh we do have many cultural diversity groups and organizations to promote them on our campus. Our student body have a large amount of people participating in many groups inside and outside their areas of study. Many seem to like being highly involved, and social.
Kat
The majority of the students here are women. As all women are into fashion and what not, its common that a lot of us wear the current trends such as Uggs and North Face Jackets. Its not uncommon to see many of the students here have nice flashy items but its not everyone here. To categorize the groups here at QU, it would be the sports teams, the greeks, student government, and everyone else.
Shawn
Most of the students are alike. Either your from new york (staten island or long island) or you are from jersey. Majority of the guys are guido, go figure. All the girls are rich and snobby.
Stephanie
Most students wear comfortable clothes to class, or jeans and a tee-shirt. There are some unique dressers and some preppy dressers, but everyone pretty much follows their own styles. Most quinnipiac students are from the northeast (connecticut, new york, new jersey, massachusetts) Students are not active in politics at all.
Chris
Everyone is accepted here!
Nikki
I particularly haven't had any issues with people of different backgrounds than me. One of my good friends here is gay but I have had gay friends before. He is in a fraternity and has openly come out that he is gay to them and they were very accepting of this which impressed me. I don't think any student would feel out of place at QU because there is such a wide variety of people here. Most students here are from New York or Connecticut but I have found many friends from Massachusetts.
Alexa
Most Quinnipiac students are from New Jersey, New York, Long Island, Massachussetts, and Connecticut. Alot of students here want to get a reputable job and make alot of money. Speaking for myself and my roomates, we all pretty much dress the same and shop at the same stores: Abercrombie, Express, Urban Outfitters, Forever21, etc. This year we were placed with two random roommates, one being African American. I have never been friends with an African American before, and I didnt have any prejudices or negative feelings towards her. She is one of my best friends at Quinnipiac.

I think that students on the Quinnipiac campus vary greatly from person to person. In other words, there are some people that interact with all different groups of people, while others stick by their close friends. For example, I know that although I am part of a sorority on campus, I do also socialize with other members of Greek life, as well as many people outside of Greek life. I know students from all different groups and all different ages. As for what most students wear to class, I would have to say that the stereotypical outfit for girls in the fall is a North Face fleece and a pair of Uggs.
Kelly
There is no diversity here on campus. Many people do have to have a decent amount of money to go here. It's overpriced by so much. Most people in my major wear our clinical clothes to class (that we have to pay for) but its required for clinical hours that we be properly dressed. Most students are from NY (long island and staten island are a common ground to come from) as well as NJ or even CT. There are many people who come from very wealthy families. There are a lot of ways to get involved and mostly all of my friends are involved in more than one activity. No one talks about what they will earn in life, but the PT students are very cocky.
Sarah
Everyone seems to wear the same things at QU - leggings, UGGS, and a sweater or sweatshirt. Also, most people seem to be from LI, NJ, CT or Mass. Aside from that, almost everyone is really friendly and easy to get along with
MacKenzie
The student body is pretty diverse. Although the stereotypes about Quinnipiac students are mostly true, there are other people out there exactly like you. I play field hockey here at Quinnipiac and my teammates are pretty awesome. Unlike most of the girls here at Quinnipiac we're unique and have that opportunity to share our athletic skills and talents with each other, plus we're all the best of friends. Also, if you're really lucky you will meet some pretty great roommmates that will be your friends for life.
Alyssa
Quinnipiac's student body does lack diversity, but the ratio of those minority students has been growing and that can be seen on campus. Everyone I have met at Quinnipiac is especially friendly and I have never seen and conflict because of racial or socio-economic issues. I think it is a common misconception that everyone from Quinnipiac is "rich." Being that the school is so expensive the students obviously need money to afford it, but that doesn't mean everyone is driving a mercedes.
Nicole
The type of students that would feel out of place would be African Americans. Our campus consists of students who are mostly white. There are African Americans on campus, but they only make up a small percentage.
Jessica
Most of the students are white.
Sarah
most students are from the tri-state area, but there are some from other places such as vt., maine, illinios, and even alaska. most people here have money and are active in some part of the school.
