Everything about this school was what I wanted. It's the perfect size, not too small or too big. The professors are very understanding for the most part and want you to do well. The class size is small and you can get individual attention. Every one of my professors knows my name. I love the Masters in Teaching program and the idea of getting my masters in 5 1/2 years. Quinnipiac has great specialized programs that really drag you in if it's what you want to do. One thing I would change is the cafeteria and it's hours. The food isn't bad at all but the hours aren't so great and it's too crowded. But we are working on that.

Quinnipiac is a wonderful school which offers the students everything they need. They have very competative programs.

I love Quinnipiac's campus. If I could change one thing, maybe I would make it a little big larger. I would say that getting involved is one of the things that has changed my experience here at Quinnipiac drastically. If you dont get involved your missing out!!
Samantha
I like the closeness of the campus. I like seeing people that I know when I walk to classes. I spend a lot of my time with my friends. Hamden is a very cute town. It isn't a college town but it does provide everything that you would need while at school.
I do wish that we had more school spirit.

I think the quinnipiac program for teaching is great, I think that the teachers and the whole class situation is awful. The teachers mostly part time don't really like kids and so many of the reviews on qu.com are negative.
Danielle
-good school size
-horrible cafeteria food
-beautiful campus and view of sleeping giant mountain
-most of the dorms are really nice
-lots of pride when it comes to our men's hockey team
Ashley
I think the best thing about this school is that it is the right size, and we have a beautiful campus.
Jess
Perfect size, too many girls, the classes arent bad, dining halls are okay, dorms are nice, new haven is close by and easy to get to and going into new haven is alot of fun, parties in freshman dorms happen and usually get written up, amazing campus - esp in the spring - its beautiful
Jillian
Quinnipiac, although a small school, the campus feels big. It has a big campus feel, but you recognize faces as you walk down dorm road.

the best thing about qu is the atmosphere and how nice it looks. one thing i would change is the way they do their housing, they shouldnt accept as many students as they do if they cant provide housing for them. the size of the school is the main reason i came here, i love how the classes are no larger then 30 and i see familiar faces everywhere i go. when i say i go to qu they are impressed and say wow thats a good school or they have no idea where i go. qu's administration is pleasent and most want to see the students succeed, but they do make you work for it. biggest recent controversy is "may weekend" they think by canceling may weekend they are going to stop kids from drinking, which is not going to happen thats just going to make them rebel more. there can be more school pride, sga does a good job at promoting it tho. one experience from qu ill alwyas remember is that i met my best friends here and that alpha chi omega made my college experience wat it is today.

The campus is beautiful, i would change the diversity, i think the size is just right not too big, not too small. I only go to Hamden for groceries and to go out to eat. The administration can be a little bit unsmooth at times, the rooming lottery is a horrible mess and the cafe times are bad. There is alot of school pride at the hockey games.
Courtney
I would say this school is just about the right size for me personally. It has a beautiful campus which is a main part of its appeal. I feel that for the most part people believe it is a pretty competitive university and the people who attend it are smart. There is not much diversity on this campus although the administration is attempting to change that.
Colleen
the school is just right. people are impressed when i tell them that i go to QU. they know its a good school and very pretty. I spend most of my time in my dorm with my friends. The biggest controversy on campus i think was whether or not our campus was empathetic or not.
kelly
the food is pretty weak, i would change that, its a small-med size school, but its a good size for me, most people love qu, but say it is expensive, between 10 and 15 of my high school graduating class come every year, its has good nearby colleges, its got great lawn, its not really a college town but has a great city with alot of bars nearby, big controversy over the school cancelling may weekend for the first time this year, which i think is bs because i dont think the whole school shud suffer because a couple kids get themselves hurt or in trouble, stuff liek that happens all the time, let us have our fun, our administration is pretty good, getting classes sucks sometimes, but the resistration isnt too bad, the housing lottery sucks right now, and usually sucks, most people get screwed, the car parking lot sucks too, you have to take a shuttle to get your car, but besides those few problems i love my school and i love most of the people here, it s good group of well rounded people that arent snobs, a lot of the girls here dress pretty slutty, b ut alot of the girls here can get away with it, there are so many wonderful experinces i have here, oh yeah that kinda tough with security which is both good and bad, and there not too rough on alcohol theres ways around it, but you have to be really careful about doin any drugs
Melissa
The best thing about Quinnipiac is the gorgeous campus and the friends I've found here. I'd change the housing lottery, it's one of the most complained about topics. People generally think of QU as a 'good school' when I mention I go there. I know theres a lot of controversy surrounding the fact that May Weekend was taken away. Overall its a really good place to be, my friends and I hike a lot, and overall theres a lot to do here and New Haven.
Molly
Quinnipiac has a beautiful campus. It is the right size, not too big and not too small. I spend most of my time in my room, in the cafe, or in the library. There is definitely alot of school pride and it shows at all the sports games.
Ashley
I love the community feeling of Quinnipiac. The classes are small enough to get an actual education, you meet and become better friends with many peopl ein the community, and professors have the ability to work with you one on one.
Kat
The best thing about Quinnipiac are their networking opportunities. There are so many internships, jobs, and etc. that are available through this school. The school population is growing so it is getting bigger as the years pass by. The campus is beautiful and it's a wonderful place in the spring. The only problem with this school is that it is private and you cannot get away with as much and voicing you opinion is hard when you need to reach the school administration.
Shawn
Quinnipiac is an over sized leech that doesn't really give a shit about the students. the president is over paid and has plans for the future. however what good does the future do for the students of the present. The parking situation sucks, and we are no longer to park in north lot on the weekend. Freshman of this year have to live off campus next year, guess QU should add an asterisk to the saying, we guarantee student housing the first 3 years.
Quinnipiac is still rather unknown but is slowing getting more publicity.
Quinnipiac wants to become more diverse but the student body doesnt want that. why do you think people write racial slurs on the wall. i would be willing to be many people come here because of the low minority numbers.
Stephanie
The best thing about Quinnipiac is the campus atmosphere. Not only is it gorgeous but the people are genuinely friendly and inviting. One thing that I would change is that we are sort of required to get a dell latitude computer which sucks. Sometimes i would consider the school too small, gossip wise, but for me it is just right. Many people have never heard of Quinnipiac, others recognize it for the polls. I spend most of my time in the dorms while i'm on campus. It is not a college town at all (hamden). Quinnpiac's administration sucks, especially since they aren't student friendly and make choices for their gain. The biggest recent controversy was the lack of "may weekend" or the changes to orientation. There are relative amounts of school pride. Quinnipiac is beautiful and that is unusual in itself. I'll always remember joining my sorority, or being an orientation leader. The lack of may weekend, the caf food, and the computers.
