After graduating from high school, I was excited to go out and experience the college world and get my career started. Going to Santa Monica college I knew my passion was to go into Graphic Design. The various classes I took has strengthened my knowledge in my field, and classes were always enjoyable to attend because everyday I would leave the classroom feeling more knowledgable and accomplished. I learned the meaning of what Graphic Design is, how it works, and how to use the different applications that Graphic Designers use such as Photoshop and Illustrator. Being taught all of this made me love Graphic Design more and inspired me to learn about what more it has to offer. Santa Monica College has been valuable to attend because I usually had positive outcomes out everything I did, and the classes I took showed me how creative I can be, how talented I am, and helped motivate me to work hard independently on perfecting my passion.

I've only gotten three things out of my college experience. The first being the social experience, it's huge and you meet all kinds of people that are worth knowing. Second the education, we live in a society that you need a 4 year degree to do almost anything worth doing. Lastly you learn a few life lessons: Money gets you places but dont make it easyer, your GPA isnt a make or break and how much a school costs doesn't mean anything on how good a college is. The End

College for me was a bit of a disappointment. I expected to learn so much... I love to challenge myself. But my teachers were less than knowledgeable. They didn't understand their own subjects, and were thus unable to teach me very much. It's very disheartening to know more than your teacher. Also, my reason for attending National was that this particular school was supposed to help place you in your field. Another disappointment, I'm afraid.

My College exeprince has prepared me for my future medical career. It provides programs and organizations that allow students to create confidence in what they want as a career. For example, recently i am participating in the Biology Society and the American Medical Student Association. Both of these organizations provide community service opportunities such as volunteering in a clinic and academic help.
Attending Temple Universtiy has changed my life. I have become an example to my family members and friends. I have shown them that no matter what when one wants to move on iin life, one can do it. Likewise, i know that with my degree I will be able to help my siblings get a better education. My goal is to help my parents ecomomically and give them a better future just the same way that they have fought and continue fighting everyday to help me with my education.
So far, College has given me an academic and social experience that have made me a better person and a better citizen. Temple Unverstity has given me the opportunity to strive for a career to give my family and community a better future.

College for me is an opportunity to have dialogue and get acquainted with many different minds so that I may know differences better and respect them even more. The more I know other's differences the more I learn to appreciate what G-d has favored me with separately and the richer I will be in knowledge, human worth and even faith. My faith in who I am and who I strive to be has been improved through interaction and through educational dialogues at the table of the meeting of the minds. That is the most valuable experience in college and in life.

I have gotten knowledge and skilsl that is helping me to navigate my way through life. I have also gained alot of confidence, because college has taught me that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. Everybody is smart, we just have to figure out how we learn. My college experience is valuable because without it I'd have been a no-body and a regular person, but with my years in college I can make something of my life.

My college experience has been fun because of the environment. The environment is so calm and it takes my mind off of my worries and also I love the people that I meet because they are down-to-earth.

I have been able to learn how the real world works at my college. Because there are so many different people that attend my college, I can accepted into different areas of society from people who live in the ghetto to people who live a more privileged life. Even if I drop out and never see this school again, just from the different characters that I have met will be good enough for me to take into my future, where ever it may take me.

I've gotten most of the things anyone would want from a college experience -- dedicated professors, irreplacable friends, and arts exposure under my belt. I'm involved in advocacy groups; I've been in shows; and I'm currently an assistant stage manager in a playwright festival. Yet I feel as though there's much more to my time here than meets the eye. The fact that I can perfect my craft of performing in an environment away from home still amazes me. If I hadn't gone away to college, I don't think I would have developed into the person that I am today -- a person I respect and value. Exposure to a new place helped me break free of old patterns. I think that asserting independence in an academic context is one of the best decisions a person can make. I'm so grateful that I submitted my enrollment form. That first step set a new era in my life in motion. Why not take the chance? Life is too short to not explore all possibilities.

I have gotten a lot out of my college experience so far. I have learned how to manage time better, have learned to commit to working out better, and have become very excited about being a student. It has been very valuable to attend because without college, I would have never been able to chase my dream of becoming an accountant. Being in school right now is crucial because I want to become a successful businesswoman as soon as I can. I already joined an organization that deals with aspects of accounting am ready to start applying to some internships to gain additional experience. College is a great resume builder because you meet a lot of people that are willing to help you throughout your college journey versus you being out of college and with little people to help you along your way. I am truely grateful for my family on their decision to put me through college and I will not disappoint them. I will make everyone in my life proud when I walk up the steps to receive my BBA in Accounting in less than four years, and until then, I will work hard to get there.

As a freshman, college has been incredible so far. Not only do you have more freedom than in high school, but you meet people who are sure to become your long time friends. You also have so much more freedom to express yourself and meet others with exactly the same interests as you. It is a comfortable way to break away from immaturity and start living like an adult.

While attending Temple University I have learned so much about myself and the world around me. Being a full-time student and a part-time worker I have learned the value of time management, something which I struggled with as a freshmen and sophmore. Along with time management I have also learned how to listen to my body, instead of studying through the night I allow myself to get adaquate rest and I tend to do better overall. Being a college student has also taught me how to manage my finances. Over the years I have had to take out numerous loans with very little scholarship money, leaving me to make minimum payments and intrest payments. All of the life lessons that I have learned throughout my college experience have prepared me for life after college, giving me confidence in maintaining a future family, career, and being an overall well rounded individual.

The ability of a living being to stand firm under distress and oppression, in a word, confidence has been gifted to me in college. Life on a university is by no means perfectly efficient. Perfect efficiency equals what gets put in, comes out. The same amount of energy that existed in the beginning continues in the same quantity after going through the machine. In college however, the results are sometimes completely different and higher than that which was first put into his allegorical engine of sorts. A figurative negative entropy change, something impossible in observable physics, will do good for the society and myself. The common reactants being time, money, and effort have all coalesced into something new. Unafraid to take risks, delve in and embrace something formerly uncomfortable is invaluable in life because it is something you will always need in order to face with joy its unpredictable ways. You can learn facts. You can learn numbers and job procedures. But that teaches you nothing of the nature of life. One must live it with an open hand, always giving, enjoying, rejoicing, prepared for the worst. Independant of circumstance, confidence gives the victorious learner a life to be discovered.

The most important and meaningful impact college had on me is the ability and skills to position myself to succeed. Being a research-based liberal arts university, Temple's coursework was built on a foundation of direction, rather than instruction. Professors gave me the information and access I needed to make my own discoveries and as well as a forum to discuss my evolving education. I feel that for a person to be great in his chosen field, he must have instilled in him the capacity and the desire to continually further his education. College should not be a means to an end, where in four years one considers himself completely educated and prepared to tackle any of life's challenges. College should serve as the foundation for a lifetime of learning and growing and acuiring skills. Temple provided me with that foundation, and that will always be the greatest and most lasting effect of my time there.

I have realized my potential that I would be able to work in the field of International Business. I have been given an excellent foundation in my first year at Temple. Prior to my going to Temple, I met and spoke with a group of Alumni Students from Temple who provided a wealth of information and support to make sure myself and the other students succeed. I am excited about the opportunity that Temple offers for study abroad. This experience will definitely help me with my career choice. The prospect of winning your scholarship will also help me to cover the cost of my traveling to study abroad. I have also been able to work on campus as a Sports Photographer with the school newspaper, which is something that I enjoy and I'm also good at. I hope to take my skills and education that I'm receiving and parlay them together into a successful career in International Business, in which my final goal is to work as a coporate lawyer. My family is very supportive of me and my college experience and on campus support has been great. I look forward in the coming semester of success.

College has taught me a lot knowledge wise and ethically. It has helped me grow to be much more independent and grounded as an individual, teaching me how to handle different issues on my own. It's helped me to balance school and work while still doing well in my classes and having a social life. I love my school's convenient location and all the opportunities it holds for me. It has surrounded me with friends and supportive administration to help guide me through my college journey. It has been a place to help me open up and reach for goals that I never thought of before coming here. It?s also opened my mind to new things and to an even better me. I love Temple University and the different memories it has given me already within these last two years.

Out of my college experience i have gained a chance to to pursue my career with a better knowledge of the areas that will help that dream be successful and grow. College has been a valuable experence for many reasons one being able to pursue my dream career. The other reason is being able to gain a high education and not just stoping at the high school level.

Being the first in my family to go to college, I felt that the opportunity itself was amazing. However, I can say that during my first year in college what I had truly gained out this experience was a new outlook on the worldly issues, as well as on my personal goals and life in general. An education is one that is meant to increase our knowledge in a variety of issues. Although personally, with the experiences I?ve had so far I have not only been able to gain that education, but also learn many things. In taking that knowledge and further analyze as well as apply that knowledge to other areas of life, giving me a new outlook and perspective on different issues. However I had also gained a new outlook on my personal goals and life in the sense that through interacting with different individuals I was able to expose myself to different environments and ideas. In all I feel that it has truly been valuable for me to attend because through out my current experience I?ve been able to grow so much as an individual due to the struggles I've overcome during this time.

I have gotten so much out of my college experience and I have only been there a year. I have met amazing people and whenever we are together we have a great time. I expect there are many great times to come in the future. I have learned so much in college, not only in the classroom but life lessons outside of the classroom as well. People are not kidding when they say the learning doesn?t stop when you leave the classroom. There really is no experience that can compare to college. Sometimes the workload can be very demanding but that comes with my major, but I love every minute of it and wouldn?t want to be anywhere else.
