I know my professor's names and I do not feel uncomfortable or any problem asking for help. The main issue is the General Education courses. Many of them are bogus and irrelevent. They are mainly there to take up space and require more money.

Class sizes can vary extremely. Usually most classes for freshman and sophomores are bigger except for English, and then the older you get and the more narrowed down your studies the smaller your classes are. There is a really diverse selection of classes to take to help you find your real interests. There are all sorts of resources on and off campus to help you succeed in your classes.

The University of Arizona prides itself on academics. With 98{4a082faed443b016e84c6ea63012b481c58f64867aa2dc62fff66e22ad7dff6c} of our proffesors in possesion of a PHD, the UA is extremely dedicated to providing a quality education to its stuedents. The UA is among some the top schools in the nation such as Berkley, Virginia and Stanford. The variety of available classes is incredible and gives every student the opportunity to broaden his or her education. Most professors are happy to help you succeed in the best way possible. The students at the UA are competetive which creates a higher academic standard at the university.

The most unique class I have taken is a Gender in Contemporary Societies class. The class is very interesting and focuses on diversity and a range of topics from transvestites and transgenders to the incorporation of sexism and the media.

Students are competitive. I have gone to see teachers after class. They are always very welcoming. No complaints about the academics yet.

I like the diversity of classes. I have 500 person lectures but then i also have classes that have about 15 students where you really get to know everyone, including the teacher. Any psychology class is amazing. Math is ridiculously hard at Arizona. i dont recommend taking it at the UofA. go to a community college. class participation is important in smaller class settings.

So far, I have liked all of my classes. I am learning a lot; the classes are definitely difficult. The proffessors always make me feel welcome in their office hours. Most of them are very helpful and want us to succeed.

We are known as the "real" college in Arizona. We are sought after by many out of state people and whom ever comes here loves this school.

If you do your homework on classes, you'll be able to find less difficult and worthwhile topics for gen ed requirements. As for major requirements, you may be up for a challenge, but nothing that you'll feel was a waste of your time. The business school especially, is great with directing their students toward careers.

Academics are challenging but good grades are absolutely obtainable if you focus. Prof. Delaney is amazing. She teaches an INDV/ Psych class that is called Structure: Mind and Behavior. Huge lecture but she makes it really fun!!! There are really smart students at the UofA but I haven't met any who are arrogant about it. They are all really well-rounded.
