What is the stereotype of students at University of Arkansas?

Jesse

The state takes quite a hit as 'backwards' but when it comes to the students I think the only stereotype would be how sports minded they are. It was classified as the ultimate party school in the 80's by Playboy (I believe it was 'in a class by itself' but that was a long ago issue lol) but that's not really true.

Lorie

The major stereotyoes consist of laziness. Students and faculty are unaccepting of outsiders or new ideas and they kep to the status quo. Arkansas also has a reputation for being an old boys network town with very little tolerance for minorities!

Alex

Mostly fraternity and sorority people. They are annoying rich white people, and they run virtually everything. If they have a party on a weekday and you live nearby, you might as well find some where else to sleep cause the police are on their side.

A lot of people say that Arkansas is a huge party school, which I don't really agree with. I mean it's a college and there is a lot of partying but that is not the only thing to do around here. A lot of people say that you won't fit in if you are involved in the Greek community but I disagree also. I love my sorority and it is an amazing thing to get involved in, but I have just as many friends that are not Greek that are very involved in the U of A.
